I totally understand that b/c of her mistake she lost the gold.....but IMO..her pouty ill-looking face isn't very sportsmanlike either

just b/c you're expected to get the gold doesn't mean you're gonna get it...when the winner hugs you and congratulates you..buck up and be nice...wait til all the cameras are away from you so you can make the "I will kill your entire family" face in private...which btw..she's perfected that...

I'll give her a bit of slack on that... she was clearly very upset with herself, and I think she was trying really hard to be cordial... it's kind of like when you hit a bad shot in golf and the other guy makes a birdie... you're really pissed at yourself, because it's no one else's fault...

The Romanian girl was in shock I think... it looked like she had no idea she had a shot to win the gold.

she scares me, honestly...she's got the epitome of "Crazy Eyes"

Had she not fallen..she would've won...it sucks

She does have a bit of crazy eyes, but she's by far the prettiest one on the team... I did feel bad for her, but she does have a gold and that perfect vault for the team to look back on, so it's not all bad.

    • Replying to razor forgot to quote: Sad to say would have been better, I didn’t mean I was personally apologizing for anything.   I have driven with a buzz for sure. Long life, lots has happened. Also was a totally sober person for a long time. Seen both sides.  The biggest issue as I see it is with people who have one too many and then it is on... they have lost all control and judgement when they have that one that pushes them over. That, is really dangerous.
    • Increasing punishment only deters crime to a point.  The vast majority of people who drink and drive are doing it with the expectation that they won't be caught (and 95% of the time, they are right, which is why they keep doing it; they don't consider the possibility of something bad happening and facing punishment).  Making the punishment more severe isn't going to change that, especially when this decision is made by those who aren't thinking clearly to begin with. If cutting down on drinking and driving is the goal, then the solution isn't making the punishment more severe, but by making alcohol less accessible.  But that will never happen.
    • If we were somewhere that was okay, we could have a fun conversation I am pretty sure.
