I can’t find any room for optimism with Bryce. I’m not even in a “would love to be wrong” state of mind. I just want to move on. No matter how good he looks the rest of the season I can’t see him ever taking this team to the promised land. I can’t really even expect him to play better next season once the expectations are on again. -

Last game was impressive. The previous two were decent. If he can continue the upward trajectory he deserves to stick around and see if he can continue next year. It’s entirely possible that what we saw Sunday was the turning point of his career. Or it’s possible it was just a spike and he regresses to the mean. But I’ll say this, to me he’s earned at least a couple weeks of me not being 100% doubtful and assuming that he’ll regress. I’m not convinced that he’ll turn into a solid starter or better, but I’m willing to put aside what he showed me his first 18 games for now and focus on the present. -

Kochetkov is back this weekend, thankfully. Gotta rally. It sucks to have worked them that hard and not get a goal.
