What is Stewarts backflap?

Probably that part of the shoulder pads that hangs down over the shoulder blades. Never heard the term "backflap" before. When I first read it I read "backflip". Thought Stewart was pulling out some kung fu movie backflip kicks like Jet Li in Fist of Legend.

Ive had my nose broken at least 4 times that I know of - not all that big a deal, but I wasnt a rookie starting a career in professional football when I broke mine either. I hope if they splint it for a few weeks it doesnt impair his on field vision.
