Panthers Terminate Contract of Jeff Otah

Hard to call Bruce Nelson underachieving. He played 1 season had hip surgery and never recovered from it. At least Otah had 4 years to try. Nelson had 1 and injuries forced him to retire from football.

Ditto.

They went Gross #1 and Nelson #2. That was the year I think the Vikings didn't get the pick in on time.

It sucks about Nelson though. Never played a down for us, but honestly was it his fault?

An OL underachiever I would msot def include would be Justin Hartwig. Signed a huge contract. Never panned out. Get's cut. Wins a Super Bowl the next season w/ the Steelers.

Goodbye you fat, worthless, no work-ethic-having-bum.

He wasn't fat and all reports were he was at BOA rehabbing this entire offseason.

Big guy, bad knee, soft.....doesn't make him a villain.

Thomas Davis and Dan Morgan are 2 of my favorite Panthers....I would also argue they are 2 idiots. When a body says no...more players should listen IMO.

I was under the impression he failed the physicals with the Jets because he couldn't meet the conditioning requirements.

Why else would they give him two physicals? If his knee was bad the first time, it wasn't gonna be good the second time.

And if I'm not mistaken, if his knee wouldn't pass a physical he wouldn't be allowed to be traded in the first place. I could be wrong, but that's what I assumed.

Yeah, he failed the Jets physical.

He has had surgery. Nothing else was done to prior to him being traded. He didn't pass a conditioning test here before being traded and after his surgery.

Big man on a bad knee.....who doesn't want to push it. Sucks but he isn't the anti-Christ....just like Pep wasn't
