Yea I recently heard someone say that Barnidge is not a very good blocker which I feel diminishes his value

Shockey wasn't known as a great blocker himself, just decent. When running in the 2 TE sets you need both to be able to find the soft spots, because when one is covered the other is usually open. I wouldn't trust Hartstock or Brockel in that area. If they don't think Barny can handle the #2 spot, they'll need to find someone.

It doesn't sound like he is a as good as Shockey.but maybe with more development. In my opinion this is not a position we want to regress.

Ladies and gentlemen, trust me on this one...Tauren Poole is pretty awful. He rarely makes the right decision regarding which way to run. it even got to be a bit of a punchline throughout his senior season. He was knocked down to about 3rd on the depth chart on a terrible team last season. Super-nice guy who will never get in trouble, but he's not going to turn into Arian Foster, if that's what you're thinking.

Weird, because my media guide says he started all 12 games and led the Vols in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. Though he didn't have a great year last year his Junior year was spectacular. If he returns to his Junior year form, the Panthers got a diamond in the rough.

Junior Year Stats: Started all 13 games, recorded 1,034 yards and 11 touchdowns on 204 carries (5.0 yards per carry).

Also we don't need him to be Arian Foster, we need him to be good on special teams and better than Josh Vaughn when he gets a chance to play.
