According to my nifty media guide...

Nate Chandler played in 49 games with 15 starts for UCLA. He played on the defensive line the past two seasons after playing tight end earlier in his career.

Chandler played in 26 games with 13 starts on defense. He produced career totals of 37 tackles and two sacks.

2011 (Sr)- Appeared in 14 games, making five starts at defensive tackle. He recorded 16 tackles and one sack.

2010 (Jr)- Moved from tight end to defensive line and appeared in all 12 games. He made eight starts, four at defensive end and four at defensive tackle. Finished the season with 21 tackles and one sack.

I think that because of his limited time time/role on defense at UCLA that he may have untapped potential that Rivera, McDermott, and Washington may want to try and evoke from him.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Chandler make it as the fifth defensive tackle over Andre Neblett.

That doesn't make it legal, don't be a foolish and naive individual. He didn't tell anyone the substance he was taking and what it was for, he got caught and now he is paying the price.

Lol, I have no problem with him doing it because technically if he would told someone I think that he could have gotten away with it. I just think it was a big mistake to not tell someone.

I highly doubt Neblett will get cut for that...he was the only DT last year that looked like he belonged in the NFL. He'll serve his 4 game suspension and unless McClain or Kearse really break out, Neblett will probably go right back to the starting spot.

Some of you are ready to cut our best 3 tech last year because he made a mistake. Using that rationale, we should have cut Smitty, Peppers, and others.

And before you mention L. Wilson, that happens to bottom tier guys, not potential starters.
