It was locked in the kitchen area but since we slept in the same house with it over night DoH considers you bit until the test comes back.

My folks had a rabid raccoon come into their yard, bit one dog.

Animal Control showed up and put down 2 dogs and 6 puppies b/c of it.

Thankfully our pup got it's rabies shot last week or they would have quarantined her until they got the results. Would have broked my heart.

I feel you...

Once, when I was like 6 years old, I had got up and was getting ready for school... I kept hearing this crunching sound in my room and was all like "wth?!?!?"... After a moment, I spotted the culprit...

There was a mouse sitting in the opposite corner of my room, gnawing away on a potato chip he had found somewhere... I grabbed my Daisy BB gun, took aim, fired, and nailed him right between the eyes from across the room...

That's pretty cool....if for the fact that I caught a Peregrine Falcon as a kid. Called in a local raptor center and they came out to pick her up. This was in the 80's when they were endangered....
