Wife woke me up to tell me she saw a bat flying around...now I can't find it anywhere

We had one of those once in England, flew in through the chimney some how. I kinda enjoyed the hour or so it was in there.

Bats are awesome if you have mosquito problems. I made a bathouse in an effort to attract more, but we have a ton of owls around here so I haven't been lucky where that's concerned yet.

We just had our house "bat proofed' but I am thinking they didn't screen the chimney as it's the only point of entry.

We are now awaiting results from the dead bat to see if I need a rabies shot.
