Some Training Camp Notes

One thing I've never understood: why is it considered a 'veteran' move for a player to bark at his teammate for a mistake?

His teammate KNOWS that he's made the mistake. He doesn't need some jackass rubbing it in.

A veteran move would be to take that player to the side to explain what they did wrong and how to fix it.

Everyone responds differently to criticism. For some people yelling works, others need to an arm on the shoulder. It's good that the rookie has pressure applied to him to succeed.
