Most money given to non current panther under Hurney?

I'm at work and don't have time to research it but will pie and rep anyone who can do the leg work.

I just want to know the biggest contract we have given to another teams free agent or a player we acquired and extended like Olsen.

I know we pay our own well but outside of that I'm curious to find out the most we have spent on somebody that hasnt spent at least 1 year on our roster (aside from high draft picks)before.

prob back in 05 with whale or lucas because they were both still in their prime. Guys like Stephen Davis and Keyshawn Johnson were both on the downside of their careers so they didn't get as much money.

So it does appear it was in fact Lucas, 6 years/36 million. No other teams former player has gotten over 25 million from us in their first contract with us regardless of length. Sorry Mike Wallace dreamers. History tells us all we need to know.
