Here is why I think the Panthers will go 9-7 at best

Yaz has been pissed since his best buddy Kris jenkins was traded to the Jets. Jenkins would only talk to Yaz but interestingly few other players did. He doesn't like Fox and has taken shots at him on a regular basis. He does know about our team but is anything but unbiased. I would take what he says with a grain of salt espacially when it comes to Fox or Hurney. Most knowledgeable Panther fans do as well.

Let me explain it for you with little words so you get it. Yaz doesn't like Fox, he takes shots and blames him for everything negative. Why do you think Yaz and Jenkins got along so well? They both don't like Fox. So Yaz runs around whenever the defense or offense plays poorly blaming Fox. When the defense runs well he will praise Meeks and make some comment like Fox is letting Meeks run the show for once. What he doesn't do is give Fox credit when we do well. Show me a story by Yaz praising Fox for how well the offense played this year. I couldn't find one. But we surely heard how the defense got worse especially after Fox began meddling.

And yeah he has been that way for years and most knowledeable Panthers fans already knew this. The fact that you didn't is telling enough.

Since you obviously don't like the Panthers and have nothing nice to say I would expect you to be a big fan of Yaz. Maybe that is why you are defending him so hard. Birds of a feather flock together.

As for John Fox running the defense, he runs the team and is responsible for everything which includes the defense and offense. But from everything I have read or heard he lets the coordinators do their thing and direct the day to day operations as long as they are doing what he feels is a good job. If they screw up he gets more involved as he should. He also likely picks people who mirror his attitude and philosophy and in that way he does run the show. But he can't micromanage everything or control it as he is accused of doing. And that is the context of the comments that Yaz makes and the issue I was referring to. Everyone has their style and puts their take on things and Fox is letting Meeks do just that.

According to Cold Hard Football Facts, Carolina was 4-4 vs quality opponents last season (regular season). So they beat everyone they should have and only half the tougher opponents. I don't think that's too bad myself.

And again unless you are in the meeting rooms and are part of the team how do you know who is in control and what happens. Trgo has said he ran the show. Fox said Trgo ran the show. Davidson says he calls the plays. Why do you think you know better what goes on than the people who are running it who say they run the show not Fox.

Fireball, I've been trying to tell him that for awhile, but it doesn't really matter. Every win he finds some way to say doesn't matter. His logic is that every win is because of luck, the opponent playing a bad game or it was just a weak team. Every loss, though, shows how bad we are.
