No one is against the guy as a person...it's impossible. I haven't seen an attack on his character in any of the threads that discuss Stewart vs Williams or their salaries and impact on the team. Saying Stewart is a better option is not a dig on Dwill....

Yep.

I have countlessly praised Williams off the field and the fact he set a new bar for fan interaction....and I just flat out love watching him run (as I also have claimed he is the best pure runner in all the NFL).

Yet I think we have too many RBs. I pick him a being the odd man out and posters claim I love watching him getting bashed on Facebook as a racist for making a poor post. That logic is mindboggling.

I think our issue is we don't have even a Steve Smith on D. Let alone adding a Shockey to help. We need some attitude on D. We have zero there. A roster full of nice guys. Need to add some bad boys there....we have the leadership in place to control it...

I agree. D-Will is a good guy. I like him as a player and do not think he deserves the criticism he receives. If he didnt split carries he would easily be recognized as a top 5 back.

I hate to change pace on the thread but I read an article on NFL.com yesterday that mentioned that D-Will's guaranteed money is through this season only. We debate the contract he got, but this will be the year where the strongest will survive. Hurney structured his contract to keep the best of the two backs or at least make the lesser back take less money. I think if J Stew outplays D -Will this season they will ask D-Will to redo his contract or be cut for the better back. If D-Will outplays J Stew then we should be able to sign Stew him for a smaller deal.
