That would create an interesting situation. Jeff Otah says he's injured. If you cut an injured player you have to pay him a settlement. The Panthers say he's not injured. So there could be some drama there. I'm not sure if the cap hit would be worse if we cut him. I would think so.

There is probably an arbitrator to determine things like that if there is a dispute between team and player on whether there is an injury. Gantt himself has said that physicals are non-standard so it could be a real health issue or just a conditioning issue. His knee was deemed sound during OTAs though. If it is just a conditioning issue I'm sure Otah will lather himself up enough to pass it in the next 7 days.
