Matt Moore?

I know its early and there is a lot on everyones minds like NFC South title, Playoffs, Superbowl, but something I have had on mind for a while is or future QB.

So do you guys think Matt Moore is our future franchise quarterback, or should we be looking for someone to put under Del-hommie next year to groom into our franchise QB.

We have a pretty young team. It is time to start thinking about a QB for when Jake moves on. Because I think we should still be able to compete when he is gone.

How about this thought: Jake is in his very low 30's and will be a free agent after next season. His elbow has a new lease on life. Jeff Garcia is 38 and it can easily be argued that he didn't become a decent NFL QB until he reached the age Jake is now.

How about extend Jake this summer for 4 more years and let him continue to throw to Smitty for that time and not really groom a replacement for him but rather just have a good backup instead.

I'm glad you brought this subject up.....I mean with all the other things to think about in the next few weeks. If my memory serves me correctly, no one has posted anything on this subject in............a day or so.

Yes, I agree, we do not discuss this topic enough.:D

Nothing wrong with that either.

Jake is what Fox wants, and this year with everything healthy what Fox wants has worked.

Replacing a Jake will be hard in one way and easy in another. Finding someone more talented won't be that hard as 80% of the time Jake is a 10-15 QB. The other 20% he is top 10. The hard part to replace is the lucky horseshoe he keeps shoved up his ass, where he is "unconcious" and makes plays he really shouldn't be able to make.

Or maybe a 5 year deal, then Matt can take the reigns when he turns 30.

I actually have to agree... I have watched Jake for awhile and I have never been impressed with him. He's extremely inconsistent. A good leader in the locker room, and even on the field, but his performance doesn't match up to that leadership. I have always liked Matt Moore since I first saw him playing back in college. He is an excellent quarterback, and I think Jake and everyone else knows that he is gonna be the quarterback next year, especially if you guys don't make it deep into the playoffs.

Baring an injury, there is absolutely no way Moore is our starting QB next year. Get out of here, not only is that retarded but this team is still coached by Fox.
