Jeff Otah traded to the Jets

More like you choose to ignore good logic and start a vendetta with anyone that has the opposite choice.

No. Suggesting Bell is something other than bad is poor logic.

Outside of Jarrett, nothing I have taken a hard stance on has been proven wrong in time. They may not have been popular stances but most of been accurate guesses

Somewhere in the numerous Otah topics i've often said i wasn't sold on Jeff as being the guy at right tackle. BTW i was the guy suggesting the Panthers draft an offensive tackle with the 9th pick just in case Otah turned out to be a bumb and, AND Gross isn't getting any younger but feel free to question my football knowledge and i'll continue to smile when i'm right, as usual.

three quarters of this board "wasn't sold on jeff being the guy" including me. also anybody else from planet earth who understands the concept of entropy and can count (i know that's asking a lot) would understand that "gross isn't getting any younger". drafting another tackle that early would have been stupid because 1. the suggestion came from you in the first place and 2. we've gotten by with JAGs at right tackle before and the panthers are one of the best teams in the league at scouting OL talent. they prepared for this situation by picking up bruce campbell. gross is also as sturdy as anybody at left tackle plus travelle wharton who according to PFF was one of the outright worst guards in the entire league last season has been replaced.

up next grits delivers his razor sharp insight re: whether or not he's "sold on jimmy clausen being the guy"

Suggesting that Bell is going to be bad in the future based on last year after he was thrown into the fire as a UDFA with no offseason and an abbreviated training camp is poor logic. Offensive linemen make their biggest improvement between year 1 and 2 for the most part.

There is a reason he was laying carpet and went undrafted....and there were reasons why he was bad last year.

If finding OL was as easy as just picking up undrafted guys then things would be easy.

What besides the fact he wears a panther uniform suggest he should start for an NFL team week 1 this year.....

Three quarters of this board wasn't willing to draft a decent offensive tackle with the 9th pick. So there is still a question mark along with starting a rookie from some back water school and counting on him (and Bell) to protect the most important player in Carolina Panthers history. Yeah but i'm the dumb one.
