Jeff Otah traded to the Jets

I think that the FO believes that both Clausen and Edwards want to play football. Not the same can be said for Otah.

Again, difference is Otah can play....guys like Clausen can't.

I am fine of getting rid of Otah....not fine with it when we have guys that can't play wasting spots

The Otah hate is off the charts bc of games missed to injury....

We have no RTs and he was cheap. He was worth a 1 yr more on the roster.

He wouldn't have been offered a contract after this year anyways, because he's injury prone and soft. At which point we'd have an eruption of "Hurney is retard" posts because we didn't get anything for him and let him walk into FA.

I also want you to consider that the Jets, who needed a body at RT in the worst way, offered a conditional 7th for him. And we took it, meaning that was the best offer out there. Also that our FO preferred to let an UDFA stick over him, even given our investment.

Lastly, we'd still have "no RTs" once Otah got a hangnail, stubbed toe, sinus infection or moderate acne breakout and we sent Bell/Campbell/FA out week 3 to cover for him. Again.

You're not getting it. Otah WAS NOT GOING TO PLAY. He's wasting the same amount of roster spots that either Clausen or Edwards are at current. Thing is, neither one of them are in contract years and they can continue to improve and add depth. Otah's time was done here, for many reasons. You're just choosing to live in the dark on this for some reason.

That is fine. Otah shouldn't of been offered an extension regardless of what he did....

But he was good and cheap....at a position we have nothing at. He was worth a spot. For 1 yr....too good when on the field, cheap, and the OL is one spot we can't have enough players at.

He chooses to live in the dark on anything he is wrong about. That's just how he rolls.

Contract yr....if there was ever a yr for Otah to play THIS was it. Should of kept him, worth the 1 yr gamble.

I just acknowledge this team is about one man. Cam Newton. OL is important. Worst case scenario you cut the guy if he couldn't or wouldn't go in the one yr he has a reason to play.....totally worth the gamble vs getting a 7th

I've got news for you. They didn't. You know why? Because they didn't think he was going to play. They didn't just bail on him because he took the last beer from the locker-room cooler.

I choose simply to have an opinion....

Otah plays 10 games this year and we automatically made the wrong move. We will see

More like you choose to ignore good logic and start a vendetta with anyone that has the opposite choice.
