Wow what a camp battle.

David Gettis vs. Louis Murphy. Both had impressive seasons on poor teams and then suffered injuries resulting in season ending surgery. Both taller/speedy receivers.

Will be most definitely fun to watch.

Am I the only one that's unimpressed by him?

Don't know how to feel about this trade yet. Mainly because what was traded to get him hasn't been said. If it was another player, cool. a 7th rounder, ok...but if a 5th or above was given up I'll rage.

You are not alone. I'm definately not impressed, and don't feel he is anything but competition for 4th, maybe 3rd. Might be insurance if Gettis doesn't come back as we hope.

Meant to add another thought and forgot.

I am convinced that very few players over the past few yeas have shined in OAK, but that many were good football players.

McFadden may be one of the best backs in the game, but we may never know because of where he plays.

SeaBass and Lechler are in total beast mode though.

McFadden, whenever on the field, is a stud. He is just one of the most injury prone players in the game.

JOAT makes fun of us and calls us out when we throw Otah under the bus based on sh1t we see on the field from him as fans. Yet, it's perfectly normal to pull a blind assumption out of his ass on a guy he's probably never heard of.

As TRD would say: #huddlelogic

From what I HAVE heard (straight line speed, no YAC, good height, inconsistent hands, injury history) it sounds exactly like Carter, who I was a fan of actually. I think he would have been good if he could have stayed on the field.

But please, whine and cry foul a little more.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Otah get traded before TC. He's in last year of contract and assuming that he plays well this year would want more than we could afford. With Bell and Campbell we should be able to turn Otah into at least a 3rd or defensive starter .

Heres his Profootball focus stats.

09 season, played 736 snaps(most of any receiver on team),92 Targets, 34 receptions,521 total yards, 136 yards after catch, 4 td's, 7 drops, caused 4 missed tackles and 0 fumbles.

10 played 737 snaps(2nd by about 40 snaps to Darius Heyward Bay),74 targets, 41 receptions, 609 total yards, 227 yards after catch,2 tds, 3 drops,caused 4 missed tackles and had 2 fumbles.

11 played 258 snaps (4th most at receiver) 34 targets, 15 receptions,241 total yards,87 yards after catch,0 td's, 2 drops, caused 2 missed tackles and 0 fumbles.

He was the number 1 receiver his rookie year as he was targeted twice as much as anyone else and was most productive as he led all receivers in yards and td's.

His sophmore year was more of the same, depsite getting slightly less snaps than Heyward Bay..still got more targets, receptions and yards than any other wideout on the team and unbelievably his 2 td's tied for first.

and looks like he missed the first 5 weeks of last year.

*all this being said the #1 pass catcher on the team in 09 and 10 was Zach Miller the tight end. Murphy was just the best wideout on the Raiders for those 2 years.

**Jamarcus and Gradkowski were the qb's in 09 and then Jason Campbell and Gradkowski in 2010 for the raiders.
