Carolina will have the best passing attack for the first time

I'm going out on a limb with this and saying we will have the number one passing game in the league for the first time in our history. Our two guys, Gettis and LaFell, will have breakout seasons this year. I also believe that Smitty is still the best homerun threat of a receiver in the game. Sure, he lost some speed over the years, but he is still as strong as he was back in 2005. He can still leap into the air like a gazelle, and ultimately, he still has the baddest attitude in the land. Finally, I believe Olsen will have a career year. He is due to have a breakout season, and become one of the top TEs in the league.

With our rushing attack being much more improved now that we have Tolbert in the backfield, who by the way is no scrub in catching and running with the ball himself, defenses will have to seriously consider what we are going to do every down. I believe we are in for a 98' Viking type year, with a superbowl victory to go with it.

I just like the talent that we are looking at in these bunch of guys. Not only that, but these guys look to have dynamic qualities all the way around. We already know that Smitty is a one of a kind receiver. That even though you may draft good receivers in the future, you're not going to draft a Smitty all willy nilly. Guys like him only come around once in a lifetime. I have been high on Gettis, calling him a taller Marvin Harrison. LaFell's interesting. I believe he has less talent than Gettis (my personal opinion by the way), but I've been really impressed how far he has come. He's been in Rivera's, not dog house but puppy house last year in training camp. Now he has stepped up, and looks to be something special. Cam Newton, just like Steve Smith, looks to be a guy you draft once in a lifetime, playing the most important position in the game. So I'm pretty excited about this group.

Obviously the addition of Louis Murphy means we are a lock for the best passing attack in the league this year...

Wow! I liked Murphy for a couple of years now. He's been injured, but I like him a lot. Although, I still believe my boy Gettis will eventually become a superstar receiver, and LaFell being a great receiver playing behind Smith and Gettis on the charts. Murphy will make great depth.

Cam

Smitty LaFell Gettis Murphy Pilares Adams

Williams Stewart Tolbert

Olsen Barnidge Hartsock

Gross Silatolu Kalil Hangartner (Otah/Bell?)

To be honest the potential of this offense will go only as far as LG and RT allow it to go. Outside of that the potential for this offense is nearly limitless. They could easily be #1 in Rushing or Passing depending on injuries and O-Line play.

We have great potential on offense, but we won't be reaching it this season IMO. A lot of pieces look great on paper, but Cam is still learning, we still need a definite #2 WR to step up, need to find the run/pass balance, etc.

The Packers, Patriots, and even the Saints* will still be above us this season due to the consistently great QB play...but it may be the last season anyone is above us for a while if Cam continues to impress.

Didnt look like he had lost any speed when he was burning PP7, the leagues hottest new corner that surely is among the fastest in the game.

You know, as you get older you tend to throttle your speed and save it for when it counts. Let me know when you see 89 get run down from behind and then ill agree with everyone's "smitty has lost a step" bullshit.
