I really think that fans are to blame for this whole thing. Peppers got his feelings hurt. Right or wrong, different or indifferent, we absolutely trashed him on the message boards in '07. Then he refuses to sign the largest contract an NFL player has ever received and asked to get traded the next year. There's a man that reads the Huddle.

Just you and I Pepp, I want you to stay. But there are too many around who consider you a traitor for even suggesting a move from the Panthers even after your contract was over and completed, I can understand your moving on. I do hope we get something for you, you're worth a lot...
