Learned this is a Sociology class this past year at the University I attend.

Post's made like the meme reflect the exact opposite of what they are trying to convey.

The white race is predominantly pointed out as the only racist group of individuals in the world. However, these types of post's prove otherwise. The white race gets stereotyped as the only racist group of individuals in the world based on prior history. Stereotyping is indeed a form of prejudice or racism whether one chooses to believe it or not.

From what I inferred from that meme is the following...

African-American's = Thugs

Hispanic = Illegal Immigrants

Middle Eastern = Terrorists

Caucasian = Racists

The problem with the world today is just like it was 50 years before now, and 100 years before then.

We still judge people on their skin color rather than their character.

Asking for opinions on something is fine, but just posting it without asking shows they support it. Why do you think I have pictures of the Panthers, Hurricanes, Heels, and Sevendust in my sig? DeAngelo didn't do what you said. He posted something that tells his opinion and didn't say he disagreed with it. My post had nothing to do with asking opinons on something. What's so hard to understand?

If you follow Williams you would know he puts a lot of stuff out there to generate debate. It doesn't mean he hates white people, his best friend is white. The meme was trying to make a statement about society and it was poorly done. If someone is seriously offended enough to burn their $100 Deangelo Williams jersey over this then it says something negative about them, not Deangelo. Any thinking man with an open mind can read something, disagree, and not turn into a raging Fugwad.

Yes he did do what I said. When he posted it he specifically said he wanted people's thoughts on it.

Here's a description of racism:

Prejudice or discrimination directed against someone of a different race based on such a belief.

Single out an other race is never a good idea even if its true. I expect sport media to be all over his ass tomorrow.
