Cam's stats will not be as impressive next year...

He will rack up passing yards, let's not forget who our offensive coordinator is. Main thing for me is protecting him, so less rushing yards and designed runs. That's where tolbert comes in. He has to lower his INT's though, and he will. If our defense is atleast decent that will help so he doesn't have to get a TD every damn drive.

I truly believe Cam wont reach the 3,400 yard passing mark...That said his efficency will go up, our run game will be even better and we will win more games just based on defense alone. Dont look for Cam to break 5,000 yards, we don't need that and with how our team is built we don't want that. We want to beat teams up on the ground. The only wr we added was Joe Adams, (yes we get Gettis back) but a key move to show what Rivera wants this team to be like was the addition of Tolbert to an already crowded backfield. Last year we showed off our new toy this year we want to win games...Dont take Cam in the first round in fantasy and draft Stewart and williams back to back in the middle rounds lol..

how fast can you count to potato?

Just cut the int's Cam

This is key. Maybe the rushing TDs will decrease, but its hard to imagine a season where he gets more passing yards or total touchdowns. Hopefully some of those rushing TDs will become passing TDs...(to Tolbert and Olsen)

Bottom line is Cam doesn't need to score more than he did last year, he needs to give the ball away less. Maybe a mobile QB is going to have a few INTs, but most of Cam's INTs came at critical times, killed drives, and helped the other team comeback in the second half. Cut down on those mistakes and we win 10 games easily.

A stouter D will also help stop teams from turning our mistakes into points. It has to work on both ends.

If only the offense improves in efficiency and Cam has scent numbers but less turnovers we win 9-10 games.

If the defense does its part this year and can get some stops late in games when we have a lead, we could win 11 or 12.

When he develops as a passer, he will not need to run as much.

He doesn't run bc he can't pass or is a weak passer ....he runs bc people can't stop him. So why stop that?

1. I think we start scoring lots of points

2. If we become a legit team we will play in big games and all will hold importance

3. Cam wants to win more than anyone...if he knows he can get in then he is going to call his number. The drive to win and get it done....and he knows he can do it better than anyone. So if we are good enough to make a serious run...Cam is going to make sure it gets done.

4. Cam likely will be the biggest redzone mismatch in NFL history.

We simply can't apply normal thoughts about a QB to him. Cam is young and a young Cam runs....hell, Steve Young consistatly ran his entire career and wasn't built to do it.

Why people want to handicap and take away one of this biggest strengths and what makes him special is mindboggling.

Cam could throw for 30 TDs and run for 20 TDs....that is the type stuff we should be licking our chops over. Turn him into a run only if there is no option like most QBs and we will miss out

He will be better then last year. Huge improvement in the passing department and drop off in INT. I don't think he will have as many rushing yards but close to last year in rushing TD.

I do not want to limit his mobility. That is not the issue. What is an issue with me is the designed runs. Those must go down. We have great RBs, Cam does not need to be running just because he can. He can still scramble and take off. Sure. Why Not? And even at the goal line he is an option.

Just let the RBs run. And let the QB pass, and scramble, and generally reek havoc. That is where the future lays.

Cam was the most efficient runner on our team and made our ground attack the most efficient in all the NFL....as a rookie.

Cam is a football player....If you just let the RBs run, Cam wont be that good. Running is part of his game. It makes him the matchup nightmare.

The future is in a unique QB who will change the type athletes who play QB.....not shackling him. Gotta quit looking at the past. Cam is the future in many ways.
