Whats the problem with so much hate on Jeremy Lin ?

Lin's better than Duhon, but that's not saying much because Duhon is pretty bad. I'm just saying that D'antoni system is built to make point guards look great. Plus, it's an incredibly small sample size. I'm also pretty sure somebody said that the knicks played crazy good defensively during the winning streak, which makes sense since Stoudemire and Anthony were gone for most of it and they're bad defenders.

The knicks should have just matched the offer because they are going to be paying a ton any anyway, and it's not like saving on Lin allows them to sign another free agent. It's probably worse for the rockets that the knicks didn't sign it. They'll expect him to be a star, and he's probably not that guy.

so you're telling me that LIN cant "ball"?

its all bc of d'antoni system? seriously.

i heard enough of dumb $hit from you in min. im out

That stupid Knicks team was dead last year until D'antoni had no way to go but to start Lin!

it wasnt like D'antoni knew he had a "gem" in Lin.

Lin brought those mo-fuker back back into the playoffs picture.

I didnt see the man infront of Lin having an average season last year under d'antoni.

Felton, Davis, Bibby, Kidd, Shumphert or JR Smith will not give the Knicks what Lin gave them last season!!!!

Stats matter little when theres no "W" in your column

Even if the last year wasn't ridiculous, let's say the contract averaged 8 mil a year, that is ludicrous money to play a guy that started for a little more than a month in D'antoni system. Chris Duhon put up similar numbers with that coach, and he's never really been more that a 3rd or 4th guard.

Hating on Lin is silly because it's not his fault he took the best offer, but the most likely scenario is that the Rockets end up hating this contract in a couple years.

You seem to really like you some Lin. I think he's likely an average point guard, maybe a little better than that. He did some really good things, but he also had a lot of turnovers and other stuff to work on. It's probably going to be hard for him to be successful on a houston team that blew up it's roster.

I hope he does well and will eat crow if he is awesome, but that d'antoni system does make point guards look better. Didn't Felton average 17 and 7 one year in new york? Are you telling me he was that good? It's like a shanahan runningback or a andy reid quarterback, they can still be good, but they are not as good as they look with that coach.
