I haven't kept up with the gun law debates much until this event, so I'm sure this isn't very original, but perhaps all weapon-related purchases need to be tracked by your social or a national database for weapon purchases. If you accumulate too many in a certain time frame - RED FLAG. If what you have bought can be used combined for such an atrocity (guns and body armor) - RED FLAG.

Government is there to protect it's citizens. Killing this guy would be doing that. Letting him sit in jail and write books while the insane clown posse idolizes him will make others think of doing the same thing.

Government is not there to provide health care to anyone, nor social security, welfare, food stamps, unemployment, etc.

BTW, I think that you know the difference between murder and killing.

IMO, anyone who thinks that gun control laws might have stopped this fellow is wrong. He planned it for a while and did it rather well He booby trapped his apartment. Had he not used guns, he might have rented a Ryder Truck and built a bomb, similar to Oklahoma City. He might have used IED's, or he might have found another and more efficient way to kill large numbers of people.

I do believe there are valid arguments both for and against gun control. But gun control laws wont stop crazy. Otherwise, we wouldn't see mass killings in nations that had stricter gun control laws.

Agreed, and furthermore I wish that in situations of mass murder, they would not mention the name or show the face of the accused. He shouldn't get any attention whatsoever.
