All the minor characters were awesome

Bruce, Selina Kyle and Blake were all great in the flick. Loved the sets, effects, it was just awesome.

The whole hell prison sequence was fantastic but my favorite scene had to be the buildup to the total take-over with the national anthem.

I love how all of Nolan's films can really stand by themselves as great.

Probably the best trilogy of all time

I personally am...I think the Star Wars rep is built more around what it did for a genre overall but as movies, ANH and Empire are the only legit ones imo

Nolan is on another plane compare to Lucas

My favorite from the new Batman's is still BB but they all have their own unique brilliance

I loved how well the sense of anarchy and mayhem was portrayed especially through Blake in the movie. The performance was great but as a character, I thought it was one of Nolan's best written.

And I was soo nervous about catwoman but I thought that was perfect. It wasn't campy but they managed to still have very cool back and forth's between her and Batman/Bruce. And perfect at being both a bad and good girl

Everyone will have their own opinions, but I really believe this will be the best trilogy by a long shot.

TDK stands alone as a movie in the trilogy, however, TDKR honestly picks up where BB left off.

Pretend there was no TDK and BB ended with Batman on the lam. Minor details aside from TDK (Rachel Dawes missing, The Joker card at the end of BB) if you could pretend TDK never existed and Nolan just wanted the 1st and 3rd movies, how would you view the series (assuming it was just 2 movies and not a trilogy)?

I know it is hard to pretend that TDK was never made, but I think with that mindset, it makes TDKR the ultimate/brilliant ending.

I do not think there is any way this is the best trilogy of all time. Outside of my personal opinion about each movie's quality, I think the lasting significance of these movies will be minimal.

Above all, they are Batman movies. There have been many before it and there will be many after it. While Nolan did create a different kind of Batman, it is still just Batman. A trilogy like Star Wars stands alone. Nolan's trilogy will forever be compared against the movies that came before and will inevitably be compared to the movies that come after. I personally think this will do some damage to its reputation eventually.

Were these the first Batman movies, it would be more likely. Nolan took creative liberties with someone else's creation.

Best triologies: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and now Nolan's Batman. This movie was excellent. It had a MONSTER reputation to live up to and not only delivered a score, but hit a grand slam.

Some quick thoughts:

Each movie progressively felt bigger and bigger, with the enemies and the stakes getting larger and larger. I like this.

Bane's voice being hard to understand is overrated. Tom Hardy did a fantastic job acting without having any facial expressions to convey emotions save for his eyes. His voice worked really well with his character, who in my opinion, is easily the most terrifying villain Batman faced in the trilogy.

Really great symbolism used in the movie, the pit scenes were awesome.

I really liked JGL and Hathaway's characters as well, both did a great job acting and I felt really added to the story. JGL was a symbol that Batman's legacy won't die with his death or retirement, while Hathaway was a means for Bruce to escape.

Also liked the 'twist' concerning Taila Al Gul, although I kinda saw it coming.

Nolan had to not only deliver an awesome movie, but had to end a triology (not an easy thing to do in itself).

Every movie felt like it had a theme to it. BB had facing your fears, TDK dealt with finding yourself, and TDKR dealt with rising to the occasion. Can't say I've been more satisfied than I am with the ending of a trilogy than I am right now reflecting on this.

the scale and scope of the final battle with Bruce leaving town was epic

Nolan did a phenomenal job of maintaining such a strong sense of realism given the scale of Bain/Ta'lia's plan and takeover

I also gotta say that secondary cop/deputy from Weeds was also fantastic...I liked him a lot in the film

And that opening scene with Hathaway was also quite awesome

Watched Rises last night and loved it. Can't wait until its out on Bluray and I can nerd out and watch all three in a row on a Saturday night.

One thing I didn't understand and maybe someone can help is why didn't anyone ever just climb the rope to get out of the pit? It looked as though it was safely secured all the way at the top?

How will these not stand the test of time? They are made by one of the greatest directors of our time. You're way too caught up on the buzzword of Batman. These stories and the messages, although not entirely original content have been presented in a way never before seen. Nolan has made a fundamental landmark in the comic book world. Everything must evolve or die, and Nolan's evolution is a masterpiece.

Also you're in denial or playing the Skip Bayless role if you think the quality of these movies was poor.
