Pete Prisco enjoys getting a rise out of fans, he probably knew this would piss us off. He's Darin Gantt 2.0.

Gantt just doesnt sugar coat stuff...I think he has had a better pulse on this team than anyone else covering

Read the whole thing last night. Love the quote from the scout with "this team will be better" and then they give us a 5-11 prediction.

Yet Denver will probably go 11-5 b/c Peyton Manning is there!!!! Thats how mainstream media is. Once we get to the top, we'll be the darlings again.

yeah but he is negative. So far he is right but he could have easily been wrong last year had a couple of balls bounced different or refs called some stuff like they should have.

That is bc the article itself and record prediction aren't related...yet CBS put together

Personally, I love being over looked. Under the radar baby. It's funny though because the team this year is better than the team LY, and we all know that Carolina was a few bad kicks from being 8-8.

The guy that wrote the article is a state fan, so he may be a panthers fan. Usually tougher on the team u pull for.

I asked the guy who wrote the article wtf was up with Prisco's prediction, he said "@willbrinson: @ECU2k6 @priscocbs LOL. I wrote the @panthers preview. Not sure what Pete was thinking there. (I like them for 8ish wins)"

If Prisco wrote the article it shouldn't be taken seriously. He is hands down on the short list for worst writers in the biz.

Before the draft I predicted on this forum that Gabbert would be a bust, and that Cam would torch NFL defenses with his scrambling ability. My predictions were not popular at the time. Now I get to make a popular prediction, there is no chance in hell we're going 5-11, unless Smith or Newton are lost for most of the season with injury.

yeah, we're "under the radar"

lol

The team most certainly is. Cam, however, is not.

Most of the publications/experts have not said very flattering things about the team - minus Cam and Smitty. It's also amazing that people have forgotten about #52 as well. Just getting him back is a huge addition.

The highest ranking I've seen was PFT ranking us #17. That's still no where close to a playoff team. fuging Phil Steele had us around #26.

Folks know we have questions on D. So we are going to be rated accordingly. We are the trendy IF team.

Folks also know, we are a young team still trying to find its way. A few injuries, bad plays, and bad breaks went against us last year. We were not good enough to overcome all that. This year however, is going to be a question mark from the beginning. Can the D improve? How good can the ST be? What is the O-line doing? Same with the D-line. Can the young CBs push for, or even win, playing time? And I am done with more left unsaid.

When those questions are answered, we will know who we are. And I believe at that time, we will be pretty damm good.

We are not under the radar. We are very much on everyone's radar. We are just being rated based on the past, not the future.
