gone are the days of carolina having a dominating defense.

get used to seeing a defense based on capitalizing on opportunity...the offense will score fast and enough to force opposing teams to play keep up/catch up, and the defense will sit back and take advantage of mistakes.

think of them as vultures instead of the hawks.

it's the same bend, try not to break stuff from the past several seasons.

4 DTs were taken in the first round last year.

my point is, drafting a postion of need from a class that deep in that position is nothing more than throwing a bunch of poo at the wall and seeing if any of it sticks.

But the players I listed this coming draft will probably be BPA when we pick in the round. Maybe deep isn't the best word but overall the talent in next years class is much better than last years.

I don't see us been doomed here. Plus if Shirley was that important to the Panthers. Then the FO would have resigned him way before now. I don't think the Panthers had any plans of bringing him back. We got two 2nd year guys in Mcclain and Fue coming off a half decent rookie season. Now that they had a full offseason and a full TC coming up. Plus with Edwards and most likely Panthers will pick someone off of Waivers during cut time. I think as of right now the DT postion will be fine. No reason to hit the panic button right now. Again if Shirley was that important to the Panthers FO then they would have resigned him long time ago. Do see him been a big lose since he was never resigned in the first place.

not trying to go in circles, but outside of marcell dareus, all of the DTs from last years draft were picked bpa.

imo, the talent is about the same.
