Should we have let D-will walk

  1. 1. Should we have let Deangelo Williams leave via free agency last year?

No one is hating on him....some are looking at the situation that Carolina is in and not just a player in a vacuum.

We could lose Williams and have the best ground attack in the NFL. Name a current team with more potential on the ground than a combo of Cam, Stewart and Tolbert?

We had the #5 rushing attack last year. If we lost DWill, or Stewy for that matter, that ranking would be a pipe dream. Why is having a top rated rushing attack a bad thing? The rest of the roster will catch up soon enough.

I agree with whomever stated it first. Stewy is the only RB on this team with trade value. So the answer to all this carping will be known when it happens. Otherwise, we play with who we were dealt.

Please, please do not put Cam in with the running game. Cut his carries in half and that frees up 35 or so times Cam is not hit.

Cam put the fear of Zod into teams last year. The threat is already there. Use Cam as a decoy and limit his hits. Let the RBs run, and let Cam be Cam.

Long story short. We are still a year away from knowing who we are. Until then, we plug along and do our best. Thankfully, we have Cam leading a strong core. So the wait is far more fun than expected.

Stewart goes down then what?Tolberts a FB and we let go of Goodsen...

Injuries happen....but Tolbert isn't just a FB. People who suggest that haven't watched what he does.

Ok, how many Ds can stop Cam + Tolbert?

If we lost half of Double Trouble a #5 rushing attack is a pipe dream? LMFAO.

Cam + Stewart + Tolbert could easily have the potential to be the best attack in the league. They might not be #1 bc that often goes to one dimensional teams who wouldn't be as efficient and dangerous

Cam is part of the running game. Just reality....and he was the most efficient and dangerous part of our rushing attack.

Saying to cut Cam's carries in half and then say they need to let Cam be Cam is a contradiction. You want Cam to have a sophomore slump....best way is to minimize his legs and rushing work.

So Stewy and Tolbert are a top tandem in the NFL? Ok, if you say so. Without DWill, you lose that homerun threat. Just a reality, that without DWill, or Stewy, a top 5 running attack is a pipe dream? If you are counting on Cam throwing in a big number of yards, you are most certainly going to be dissappointed.

For someone who uses potential as a negative. You use it as a positive when it works out for you?

Not everyone is going to fall into line behind your Cam is an important part of our running game. Some of us would prefer Cam limit the designed runs, and stay with the scramble and occasional read option. We want Cam around for the long term. Not to be exciting and run himself into a career ending injury.

Cam being Cam still scares the beegees out of people. He does not have to carry the ball 70-100 times for anyone, but you.

Wanting to use your Franchise QB as a RB so you can get rid of DWill is just not a great idea. Hey, no one is perfect.

No, I clearly said CAM + Stewart + Tolbert had the potential to be the top rushing attack in the league.

Cam and Stewart have already PROVEN they can dominate on the ground when given the chance. Tolbert has proven to be a great all around back.

Cam runs. Simple and plain. From day 1 I like some of there here are more worried about a blindside hit in the pocket hurting him then him getting hurt while running.

Cam running has NOTHING to do with Williams being here or not. It is just what he is...

Not sure if you are aware of this but if Cam is nothing special if limited to being just a passer....play him to his strengths and the ceiling is limitless.

Ok, now I get it. Cam is only Cam because he can run? Otherwise he is jaqb? Well, that does explain your infatuation with running Cam like a RB. Might as well run Cam to death, then go draft another QB. Maybe the next one will pass your muster as a passing QB?
