I'm wondering if the stuff ever wears off considering that water capillary action probably causes the most instances of decay. Think of the application possibilities. I'm sure they're having to do tons of environmental studying on this. Wonder what would happen if you inadvertantly swallowed some of the stuff.

Isn't this similar to something that was posted earlier....it was glass that wouldn't allow dust, dirt, water, etc. to stay on it? Same technology maybe?

They used to make a tub cleaner called "Bathroom Duck", that had silicone in it. After using it, water beaded up on the shower walls. Had to re-apply occasionally. Then they just stopped selling it.
