DWill was our leading rusher last year. He had 7 TD's to JStew's 5.

I love Stewart, but I don't get the argument that he is the more talented back. History does not show that to be true.

Stewart also set records for receptions and yards by a RB for the team and was second on the team in receptions last year, he's also the better pass blocker.

I thought I had heard once that DWill's contract was really front loaded, which means cutting him loose after two years wouldn't have the worst cap hit. Which means I'm sure he'll be up for a contract restructure to keep Stewart around and stay with the team, he's not an idiot, he'll be 31, won't get a big deal anywhere else and he knows where this team is headed, he doesn't want to leave.

So DWill takes a pay cut and sticks around to be Stews backup with Tolbert being the second back in the game and occasional lone RB for the foreseeable future in my opinion.

For Tukafan, Stewart was rated the league's worst pass blocking running back last year.

And while Stew had more yards receiving last year, DWill had more every year before that. Coming into this year, DWill was our pass catching RB.

Stewart got more reps for a reason....he is better in this offense. Simple and plain.

and the same website listed Blount as one of the top 10 best....

Which shows you the ranking has SERIOUS flaws bc Blount is utter garbage at pass protection.

I would imagine Cam/Stewart working so heavily from the spread option attack made Stewart grade worse than he really was....

The hell you talking about? DeAngelo got 155 attempts to Stewart's 142. They both averaged 5.4 ypc. They have basically the same type of production in this offense.

The hell you taking about?

I said reps....not carries. Stewart saw the field more than DeAngelo and that isn't up for debate.

Stewart overall touched the ball more and played more snaps.....he did both of those bc he fit the offense better. VERY simple and plain.

On the surface it appears we have overpaid D Williams but none of us know the circumstances behind the deal. i have heard many rumors but at the end of the day the deal is done.I certainly agree that the subject was worth be discussed.Personally I feel JR was trying to save face with his players and fans after the last year with Fox fiasco. D Wii was not the only one to benefit..

We should have a better idea of our offensive identity this year

Don't you ever get tired of this argument CRA? You've literally said the same poo over and over and over and over and over and over for the last year in regards to this topic.

Do others get tired of arguing the opposite stance?

as I said when the deal was signed, it will be a relevant issue until the Stewart situation is resolved
