Dog Poop?

Why would you allow your dog in someone else's yard to begin with?

I make sure my dog shits in my yard before we go for a walk so that I don't ever have to pick up poo.

This is why I can't take my dog on walks outside our yard. Even if he poops right before we go on a walk, he gets so excited when on a walk that he shits diarrhea poop with no chance of being able to pick it up. Had to go on a second walk after taking him back home with a gallon jug of water and try to wash it away. My fat ass needed the extra walk but that's besides the point.

Not everyone that has dogs has a yard, which is why most people that walk their dogs do so. I, for instance, have two dogs and I currently live in a condo - No yard. My complex will fine me 50 bucks per dog poo that I don't pick up and after three fines I get evicted, so there's that as well.

But

I believe that people who don't have appropriate yards or immediate access to private property shouldn't have dogs. To me its part and parcel with dog ownership. They need a place to run and be off leash and with the exception of some small breeds there's just not room in anything but the largest houses for a dog to run. They need to dig and chase birds and explore all of the smells and just be dogs. So in my book the situation you describe shouldn't exist.

C'mon! Kids need a little dogshit in their lives, toughens them up. Pansie ass kids we have these days with their helmets and poo.

My dogs have a backyard, and a doggie door. By the time I get home every day they're usually exhausted from running around chasing poo, and generally being dogs etc. They love car rides and walks, but they poop in the backyard. This situation hardly ever comes up for me, so that's why I don't get it I guess.

Dude seriously, I didn't mean to attack or offend. Just because I have some really strong beliefs on animal ownership doesn't mean that I cant recognize that your dogs are better off with your family than not.

But you have to agree with me that someone who lives in an apartment and decides to go adopt a pair of dogs from the shelter isn't giving those animals a reasonable home.

Doesn't matter if our male dog has pooped right before a walk... apparently taking him on a walk gets the poop right out and he MUST go during a walk. I always take a baggy to pick it up because of this... problem solved.

Our female dog will only poop in our yard (and usually in the grass instead of out in the straw, the little dumbass)... she never goes while we're walking...

My dog would sh*t in the backyard also but I would also spend most of my time back there working or realxing and so would my kids. It's sh*t bro...the last thing I want to do is be hanging on my back porch drinking a cold one and smelling day old sh*t, or playing cornhole and a bag landing in a pile of sh*t, or me cutting the grass in flip flops and stepping in a pile of sh*t , or me fuggin back there and laying in a pile of sh*t because well.... it's SH*T!!!. And I don't need my kids to toughen up by stepping in or falling in sh*t when they are back there. I personally don't care what it does to the environment but I don't want to live with sh*t so I would go out 3-4 times a week for 5 minutes a day and clean the sh*t up....just seemed like the logical thing to do.

I must have forgotten to mention that my back yard is a steep ass hill that my kids nor I can really do anything on. We want to find a house with a usable back yard sometime in the near future. Essentially my backyard is SH*T so all this works for me and my family. If we play we use the SH*T free front yard, but then again the front yard does have a lot of bees, which scare the SH*T out of me. Fug I need to move.

I really do miss having a back yard. It's so bad that the foundation for the detached garage is slowly washing away, the concrete pad for the side door entrance is almost completely gone. I hate moving though.

I try not to let my do poop in inappropriate places. I rarely need to pick it up. She knows there are certain places she is allowed to go to the bathroom. I have a huge problem with people letting their dog poo on my lawn. I live right next to 3 empty wooded lots, if you can't make your dog poo on one of those lots and let them poo in my yard I will have a problem with you. You'd better not let me see it happen.
