OMG I got a dog...

haha :)

OK...so I just read this:

When it comes to baths, you only have to worry about bathing your German Shepherd dog once in a while. As long as you feed your dog high-quality food and brush and groom your dog on a regular basis, you don't need to give your German Shepherd dog a bath more than once or twice in a given year.

Seriously? that's it?? what if she gets all stinky and stuff. Hose her down!? :)

I just bought some Kong dry shampoo b/c since she just got spayed I can't get her wet and I'd like to give her a bath and get the kennel off her so to speak....

I have to brush my gsd every single day. He sheds hair like my wife sheds clothes after one to many margaritas. I couldn't tell you the last time i bathed him. Your pup will reek when she comes in after being outside running just like you would but the aroma doesnt linger.

Congrats MPF!

She's really cute and has a great smile.

Please. I want to be the first to know the first time she let's out some ass juice or wipes her ass on your floor. Don't let her eat the cats food unless you want a house full of diarrhea.

Definitely crate train her. You don't want to have a dog that can't tolerate being boarded. She needs a place that is all her own. She'll eventually use it for sleeping, safety and comfort. We have those bowls that attach to the crate so our dog eats and drinks there too.

So did Izzy stick? Or did you pick another name?

Honestly...Isabel comes out more than Izzy...but she's starting to respond to both...so either or....

LIAG...she's already crate trained..Last night she barked twice, whined for about two minutes and then I didn't hear her until I let her out this a/m... I'm crossing my fingers I don't have to deal with ass juice...

Both of my bosses are out of the office all day...so I brought her to work with me :)

give her a treat whenever she brings it back to you. keep treats in your pocket. make her think you're a walking treat dispenser for the first two months anytime she does anything right or that makes you happy. then taper off.

i like the biljac small dog training treats for small stuff, and the big ones are for bedtime

i buy them by the bag though
