Bobcats Search For A Power Forward To Fill Out Roster (Scola a Sun, Jamison a Laker, Humphries a Net)

Recommended Posts

Antawn Jamison may soon agree to a contract with the Lakers, according to Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer.

The Bobcats were in pursuit of Jamison, so it makes sense that Bonnell would have an inside track on this decision. If he has decided on the Lakers, the promise of competing for a championship with Kobe and Steve Nash will have outweighed Jamison's desire to be near his Charlotte-based family, at least for one more year.

Antawn Jamison chooses Lakers over Bobcats

LAS VEGAS – The Charlotte Bobcats have lost out on free agent Antawn Jamison, who will sign with the Los Angeles Lakers, the Observer has learned.

The Bobcats were recruiting free agent Jamison as both a power forward and a veteran mentor to a young team. Jamison was torn between the chance to play for his hometown team or to pursue a championship with what figures to be his last NBA contract.

The Brooklyn Nets were also in the running for the two-time All-Star who played for

Providence High before starring at North Carolina.

The Bobcats are still pursuing Kris Humphries and Carl Landry in free-agency, to address the power forward position.

Regardless of how others feel about Landry, I really want him. He is still fairly young (28) and when he is healthy, he is a very reliable scorer and rebounder. If I'm the Cats, I put him through a physical and if he clears it; I would throw the remaining three or four million dollars we have at him.

Carl Landry's Per 40 Stats

Points Per Game: 20.5

Rebounds Per Game: 8.6

Assists Per Game: 1.5

Steals Per Game: 0.5

Blocks Per Game: 0.5

I wish Chuck would get off Jordan Hills nuts. He is a bust we have enough of those in this team history.

I wish you would get off my nuts. Hill is a pretty good young big man. Can play both center and power forward. Decent rebounder. Still raw but has potential. He would compliment Bismack pretty well.

I wouldn't hate signing Hill. I believe he as been in talks with Lakers so if they sign Jamison, he should be open for conversation. Like 8789 said, I would rather have a known guy, but you take what you can get at this point.

He isn't decent at poo. He's a bust. And the whole compliment Bismack thing shows again you need to think before you post.

How are 2 player who can't play offense going to help each other?
