Is Kemba going to have a breakout year.

Spectacular drive to the hoop yesterday, and he also seemed much more mature in his post game interview compared to last year. Mike Dunlap being very familiar with KW from the Big East I'm sure already knows his game and how to put him in position to be successful.

DJ was never a great leader and seemed rigid and lacked the quickness it takes to run a fast paced offense. I can't tell you how many useless spins he took at the top of 3 point line before getting into a offensive set.

Kemba however, will be able to take advantage of the driving lanes created by the high tempo, spaced out offense. That combined with the confidence of a new coach, and some guys that can hit the kick out three. (It's annoying when you set a teammate up perfectly for a shot and he misses consistently, and you don't get the assist even though you did your job.)

Still not expecting playoffs but I expect a much better offense, and a couple of upsets victories over the big markets.

Go Cats....or in the future Hornets. Who cares till we win.

This is true. It's going to be interesting to see how he responds to the pressure. He knows there's been talk about his shot, it might create a downward spiral if he can't handle the criticism. On the other side, those guys have been running and practicing hard, and conditioning for the new spread up tempo offense. He did a pregame interview as well on bobcats.com, and pretty much said that he didn't have his legs after these practices. Which is understandable, they're pretty much in the two-a-day period, but it could be a well designed excuse.

Kemba is electric no doubt, but hasn't shown yet that he can score easily. Sessions can fill it up though. As one of the announcers said last night, can't remember which one, that they could see Sessions as the starting PG with Kemba coming off the bench as the spark plug.

Yah I think Sessions is going to have a better season and by the end of mid season, it might becomes Sessions' team.

But, for Kemba to succeed, the coaching has to use Kemba the correct way. He's not a passing pg. just let the kid ball the way he has throughout his whole life. Use him like how OKC uses Westbrook. He's a scorer so let him score 18+ points. But he's still improving only and not yet a finish product. If anything, I'd expect Kemba to finally have a breakout year in 2013 but now this upcoming season.

As much as I want Kemba to start, this might be a more logical approach to the problem

DJ leaving is addition by subtraction. He never had the right mindset. I don't blame him too much for

being in a bad situation, but he was never the answer to any question you could come up with.

Cut bait.

I'm not a huge Kemba fan, he's got a lot to show me, but I love adding Sessions. If he will buy into the team, we

are light years better at the pg position.

Kemba was second on the team in scoring last year. Don't see how, if he works hard in the offseason with Dunlap's fast-paced tempo, that he won't be even better and will blossom.

True, but the team we had last year couldn't score period. I think your statement is more of an indictment on what we lacked than what we had. We need to bring in and develop more scorers. Kemba shouldn't be looked at to be the second highest scorer on the team.
