MKG KILLING IT and More...

THIS is why I wanted to draft MKG. Kid is a stud. He is a ballplayer. Two things the Bobcats needed was toughness and a winning attitude. MKG has both. Oh yea he just so happens to have the most potential outside Davis in this draft, is only 19, plays great defense on positions 1-4, and is a humble guy who wants to play anywhere.

Also, I love the Taylor pick, might be the best second round pick in Bobcats history.

wow MKG just dunked all over someone at about 5:30 left in the second

Everyone saying we should temper our expectations... Put it this way guys... If we would've put our starting lineup out there from last year, I seriously question whether they'd come out with a win.

The other thing to keep in mind - Sacto had 4 or 5 guys that have been in the league for going on 3 or more years plus Jimmer and TRob, their #1 picks from the last two years. So, even being that it's SL, if we had the same quality players as last year, we wouldn't have won or wouldn't have won like we did. They had guys with legit NBA experience and we murdered them!

I am as objective and as realistic as possible when it comes to our teams and our player (although that usually doesn't appear that way until a day or two after we play, lol). That being said, this was a huge signal in regards to a change of direction for this franchise.

MKG has a Cam-esque quality about him on the court and Taylor will likely be the biggest steal of this draft. Dunlap has already had a profound effect on guys like Kemba, Mullens, and Biz. It's not just something found in a stat sheet, there is something you can see in these guys that is totally different.

Call me Captain Hyperbole, but MKG has a lot of Lebron-like qualities to his game. I'm hyped and I don't care if it is summer league.

I cant believe how fast Kidd-G is. He was really impressive. i think based off one game the Bobcats hit on both picks and I see the justification for the no.2 pick.

Jeffery Taylor is impressive as well...shooting wise...passing, defense and even an explosive dunk on a great pass to him...he has to get on the floor..can we run a three small forward offense?!

Kemba has his up and down moments but played pretty well overall.

Agreed, we will most definitely field one of the fastest teams in the league night in and out, can't wait to see how effective our fastbreak will benefit from guys like Sessions, a maturing Kemba, and MKG.

Might need to call Charlotte Fastbreak City in a few years time.

He doesn't exactly have "handles" but his combination of speed, size and those freakishly long arms (no homo?) will always get him to the rim.

But his knee injury pretty much worries me that he'll be too Crash-like this year (Which ain't a good thing)

    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
    • 6-10 carries for  35-45 yds and 3-5 catches for 15-25 would be great.
