Whats up, i know there are some hip hop heads on here, so i wanted to post my new album...

Its called "A Different Perspective..." its me taking a different approach to writing and making music, it's my most personal work to date...

So give it a listen, you might be pleasantly surprised...

I don't like rap at all, but I think you did a pretty good job soundwise and appear to have some talent at this, keep it up!

Straight up honest answer... I listened to the first track. The first half of the song IMO was a little generic. The second half of it is where the money is. I really really liked it after about 1:40. I don't remember the exact words but never burn a bridge in case you need to retreat, never test the waters with both feet.... That's 100 times better than the garbage the big labels are putting out now.

I will try to list to the rest ASAP. Looking forward to it.

but try and pay attention to the lyrics of the whole song, its pretty much all on the same wave-length as that...

as for the rest of the album, its got a variety of styles, but if you want more tracks like #1, i'd recommend listening to tracks 3, 4, 6, 8, 11 and 13....

also #7 has my son on it (hes 5)

It's not bad that's for sure. You sound like a typical white rapper though, the most important thing in this industry is having a unique voice.

not much i can do about my voice, its the only 1 i got lol...

but i commonly hear that i do have a unique voice, ive noticed its either like it or hate it....so i donno...i just "do me" as the saying goes...

I think you're doing your thing, and that is what hip hop (and music in general) is about.

If I had to give an honest critique:

The production value is pretty good for today's standards, but is a little generic at times. What I mean by that is that I'm not hearing anything instrumentally unique. Most of the beats could be done pretty quickly with some basic bootlegged software (which everyone is doing nowadays). It is hard to accomplish much originality there in the rap/hip hop genres nowadays, though.

Your pitch is a little high and can tend to be monotone at times, but overall you're flow and lyrics are good.

Buzzooka Joe sounds like Jay Z, his tone/delivery but not the quality of his rhymes.

Overall, you've got a good product here, and I'd say you definitely have a future in music, even if it is somewhat underground as a performer.

Bottom line, I would listen to it again. I enjoyed it.

Stay on the grind though, because you won't succeed unless your drive is relentless. That isn't a comment on the album or you at all, but I'm speaking from experience. I've managed/produced/played/etc. so I feel like I can speak from more experience than the average listener.

Oh I forgot to add the second track is probably my favorite... I like the beat and your flow/lyrics on that one the most... It has a little bit of the horrorcore style that Tech N9ne used to use that I like...

Wow...just got through listening to it and was pleasantly surprised. Usually when people post this type of stuff it isn't very good and most of the time total crap but you are obviously very talented.

Track 5 jumped out at me the first time I listened but I am going to start from the beginning and listen back through it again to finish out the workday. I am just the average guy who likes all types of music but what Azazel says seems to be spot on and some great advice. Good stuff, best of luck to you going after your dream.

lmao...yeah i get the rage comparisons a lot, but i did grow up listening to them, so he has influence on me for sure...i do sets with a live band too, and we'll cover Bulls On Parade from time to time...

and yes that was Alf at the start of #11
