Deadspin Responds to Scott Fowler Re: Cam Charging

Back on topic...sort of...charging or not, looks like the signing event was a flop. I had to go to the Apple store yesterday and right at the escalators nearby they had a couple of tables set up with those dohickys like at the airport to form lines. Cam was supposed to be there until 4:00 PM according to the posters around the table. Other than a bunch of security guys and two dudes messing around with boxes of footballs, etc., nobody was there at about 3:10. Came out of Apple at 3:30, still no Cam. Waited until 3:45 and left. Couldn't get a straight answer from anyone about why the place was deserted except they said that Larry Johnson was going to be there at 4:30.

PS-Been away for a while. Where did my cool avatar go and what the heck are warning points?

Ancestors=/=Us. Our society as a whole is a far more moral society than our ancestors. It used to be the norm in ancient societies to marry 13 year old girls, if you need a reference. The main problem I see with the majority of liberals is they seem to think that all rich people get their money by stepping on people and through corrupt means when this is simply not the case. Sure there are some sideways motherfu*kers out there but that doesn't mean everyone who happens to have come upon a fortune had to be a morally corrupt person to obtain it. If someone has a good, original idea they deserve to reap the benefits of said idea, there is nothing wrong at all with making profits. A lot of people these days just want things to be dropped in their laps they don't want to put in the work to be great. I'm not directing that to you, only you know if you're that way. I know that when I'm at least relatively successful someday I will be able to say that I did it on my own, I didn't have a damn thing handed to me. That is how it should be, you reap the benefits of the amount of work you put in.

Like I said earlier: When I was coming up, America was fuged up in so many ways, but it was better in so many ways as well.

"All" is an extreme word. "Liberal" has been manipulated into a misnomer that connotes negative stereotypes.

The ratio of money made between the rich and not-so-rich has expanded exponentially since olden days, as has the number of PACs and lobbyists paying politicians on all levels to nurture their special interests and pork projects which doesn't seem very moral to me in my world. Moreover, the powers that be assail and proclaim the ills of welfare, while they exploit corporate welfare, while simultaneously export America jobs to Mexico and fuging India. Congress, the top of the welfare food chain gives themselves raises, health care and other "perks" (illegal and/or near illegal) while voting down the same for their lower and middle class constituents. Hell, even education has taken a hit because some think it's a privilege and not a right. All this, and many wonder why America has lost its economic foothold in the world, and its stature as the beacon for fairness and morality. I could go on, but this is a Panthers forum and I usually try to stay on topic. Suffice it to say that "opinions are like assholes: everybody has one."

Interesting info about the signing. I just read a piece that said he didn't get the crowds locally that he did in Alabama. Reading between the lines, I believe they were a little disappointed.

You do know they changed the format and software for the entire forum? Warning points are what we get when it's deem that we have stepped over the line of forum rules, decorum or etiquette (LMFAO). If we get too many our fate is the ban hammer being thrust up our posterior to varying degrees.

Yeah, me too. I didn't go to SP for the event, but if he had still been there, I probably would have gotten caught up in the moment, bought a football and had him sign it. Might have even paid for the photo op too. As a consolation prize there was some eye candy floating through asking where Cam was and looking all pouty.

I lurk a lot more than I post and knew about the change. How come my warning points show up and for all you vets it doesn't? I don't see a setting to change that.

You're funny, bro. Thanks for sharing that. I still don't like the idea, but knowing that Football Jesus charges extra for biblical verses makes Cam's halo a little less crooked.
