Why does every highlight I see have S Martin getting torched?

I'm not sold on Martin, but I wouldn't let him go easily. See how he handles competition. Safety will be an interesting position to watch in camp and preseason.

Yes Jack of all asses I know he sucks.Not the point....it seems in about every 4th big play they show on ESPN or NFL he is shown getting torched

Yes Martin got burned like bad toast. GOT IT. I could go back a couple years ago when everyone was happy we had him. Our defense was undergoing a new coach, a new defense, an defensive line 75% new and NO OTAs, Training Camps. I think he deserves a mulligan. At very minimum he deserves the opportunity to prove last year was more of a fluke then a loss of talent.

That being said I hope the new talent that we brought in not only challenges him but make the whole unit better. I am betting that with OTAs and pre-season under his belt Martin and the rest of the defensive backfield will be, by far, better than 2011.
