I hope he is in a better place, its sad to lose one of us. I didn't know him irl but I think of any panther fan as family.

RIP

My wife came down the stairs a couple of hours ago (very upset) and asked if I had heard about Steve. For those of you that never got to tailgate with him will never truly know a Huddle tailgate. He was the first one to greet me at my first Huddle tailgate and introduced me to my soon to be wife that same day.

Thank You Cooter.

After reading this thread, it's apparent I missed out on something special with this guy, especially at the tailgates. My condolences to friends and family, and at the same time it's nice to know that so many Huddlers did know him and can share stories with the rest of us.

RIP Cooter

I have no words... He was such a great guy. So friendly, kind, generous, FUNNY, weird, thoughtful, and he had a huge heart. You knew hanging out with him would be entertaining at the least.

He is gone too soon and now will be entertaining others. My heart hurts for his boys and his family. R.I.P friend.

no offence to any of the 'newer' huddlers...but Cooter was one of the originals from back in the day where it seemed like all the huddle 'knew' each other. Maybe for some of you, it's still that way, but I can't say it is and that's a big reason why you don't see me around here as much anymore

Anyway...Cooter you will be dearly missed and I know those boys will be hurtin and missing you forever. You certainly had a special flare about you that maybe not everyone appreciated, but I know I sure did and so did many of the rest of the huddle family. I'll always think of you when I think of Panther Football. Rest in Peace!

Wow monkeybutt I had forgotten how long ago we were in that old gravel lot. There were so many huddle tailgates and such the craziest stuff would happen. I used to bring a few dozen eggs to the tailgate and we would throw them at opposing fans. One time me, Northern Hawk, and Cooter went to Dixie's downtown and we told people NH was an NHL player. He was one of those people that knew everybody at a party by the end of the nite.

One time I was drunk wearing a Santa suit in the stadium and I handed this Giants fan (we were playing the Giants that day) a lump of coal and he reported me to security....security took my coal but cooter went up there and double stiff armed that SOB up about two rows and the little fuger rolled down the aisle. Security threw both of them out. So many more stories...

He was such a great guy. Met him way back at my very first tailgate, and always had a blast. Never forget that Rebel Yell he always shared with everyone. We found this picture tonight from the Giants playoff game in 2005. My heart goes out to his boys.
