RIP Cooter...

This was the very first Toys for Tots Bike drive. I post because back then he told me that he wouldn't donate any money unless I bought a bike that he could ride there (this was way back when I did the T4T stuff before mush took it over). So, I made sure to buy at least 1 full sized 15 speed bike (actually 2 - teenagers like bikes too). In the group shot, he was sitting on it, and when we had the "parade" to the stadium he was riding it (face covered by the small bike he carried).

His hot dog looks a little dark compared to the rest of him :)

love the pic with Zod, kurb, and Coot!

Zod had his boys with him at that tailgate and they look so cute playing with Grace - it was all I could do to not post those photos - they were maybe 2 and Grace was about 4. And regarding the hot dog looking dark, I think the comment he said to me was something like - once you go black, you never go back - because I said I liked burned hot dogs.

All these pics are make'n me wanna find mine. I used to post them all on here... then the big crash happened... all gone. :(

I believe I have them on backup CD's tho. I'm going to look.

Remembering the good times.

It wasn't easy unburying mine, we've got a new computer in the office now, but he had taken all of the folders from the old computer and put them into a new folder on the new one so I went into our network (I'm on my laptop) to find them. So I had to dig through that folder. My biggest treasure was all of those photos of the "huddle men". I've got more ass photos than I care to admit - and I have photos of people who I forgot existed - and many I remember and miss so much. Those indeed were the days.

Such a sad thing. After reading the posts here I want to express my sincere condolences for those of you who were friends with Cooter. It sounds like he was important to many people, his family for sure, but also to many here. I know it is hard to lose a good friend.

Glad there are pics....and an abundance of good stories.

The huddle was truely a different place back in those days. You almost felt like you knew people that you'd never even met. Too many chuckles and good natured discussions to remember. Its good to see some if the old timers posting and still lurking. Something happened, dunno what, but it just ain't the same anymore.

Rip cooter and condolences to his fam and friends.
