Shefter listed the CAROLINA PANTHERS as a potential landing spot for Gordon

ESPN's Adam Schefter says Baylor WR Josh Gordon could go as high as the second round in Thursday's Supplemental Draft.

Schefter notes that Gordon is expected to run a 4.4 forty or better at his Tuesday Pro Day. He's going to intrigue a lot of teams with that speed at 6'4/225. Schefter lists the Browns, Dolphins, Panthers, Colts, Eagles, Cowboys and Redskins as possible landing spots.

Speculation on Schefter's part. No reports indicating we're attending his pro day at this point, though I'll grant it's possible they could.

If memory serves, the Panthers have never used a pick in the Supplemental Draft at any time in their history. And if the speculation that he could go as high as the first three rounds is true, I don't see us doing it this year either.

I'm aware that it is speculation, but I wouldn't exactly use the history aspect that we've never used a pick in a supplemental draft as reasoning that we wouldn't know being that we are what, the third youngest team in the NFL?

I would just stick with the argument that the Panthers have reportedly shown no interest in Mr. Gordon.

the new regime traded two first rounders for carson frikkin palmer.

doesn't seem like they are any better off.

Reggie Mckenzie took over after the the season, the trade for Palmer was before he took over. When Reggie took over, he fired Hue Jackson, the dumb poo that gave up the house for Palmer, and pick Terrell Pyror in the supplemental draft.

To be honest, I can't stand the Raiders, mainly their fans, so I could really care less.

But the GM did mention he would no longer trade future draft picks.

I do not want to trade future picks — especially high ones,” McKenzie said, via theSan Jose Mercury-News.

He also talks about drafting players with more attributes other than speed.

McKenzie said the team would place value on attributes other than player speed, which historically has been an important characteristic to the Raiders.

So I can't see the Raiders using a future pick on a supplemental draftee, that just my own opinion....

oh yeah...forgot about all that stuff.

i remember reading about it all now. the funniest is reading just how dumb al davis' son is and how he was treated there. if i cared about it more i would find some of the articles talking about it. but i don't.

I had hoped this scenario had panned out when Floyd was farking up at Notre Dame in that year we picked Cam and could've gotten first shot at Floyd in the supplemental. This kid looks like a player. The maturity issues bother me a lot...especially at wide receiver where teams have shown you can get WRs a dime a dozen. I'll wait until post pro-day...hand size...40...vert...yadda yadda.

the 12' season is going to be breakout year for at least one of (Gettis, LaFell, Pilares) if not all 3. I think Graves is bringing it strong and is going to do a great job with the younger guys. Im ready to see if the high flyin Hawaiian is going to be something. This will be the year to take a very close look at him.

    • Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 🎯🎯🎯 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... 👀 Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.
    • I’m taking a TE early day 3 Ian Thomas and Tremble are FA.  We should have no desire to bring them back.   There’s more than enough film of ball bouncing off their hands or facemask.
    • Daniel Jones sometimes would sling it for 300 or 400 yards.  That's my stance.  We know what Bryce is.  If you consistently play any QB at this level, they largely are going to end up w/ some good days/games.  last time Mahomes was at BOA, Teddy Bridgwater threw for 300+ yards and a couple TDs and the Matt Rhule Panthers almost took him down.  We know what Bryce is.  Now we got people predictably falling into a predictable trap.
