CB is a much bigger need for us than WR at this point...a CB with off-the-field issues was more worth taking a risk on than a WR which would be more of a luxury with the receivers we have. Sure Steve Smith is getting old...but between LaFell, Gettis, Pilares, and Adams, we have plenty of youth and talent at WR. That's why back when Plaxico Burress said he was interested in joining the Panthers, we got feedback from Steve Smith, LaFell, and some people in management that we were happy with the group of WRs we had and were not interested in pursuing Plaxico. I think Steve Smith has enough years left in him where we don't have to worry about finding that #1 WR to replace him right away...I don't see LaFell as ever becoming more than a solid #2, but I think Gettis has the POTENTIAL to become a #1 WR if he fully recovers from his injury and benefits from some progression. And if we don't think we have a potential #1 WR to take over in the near future, then we can look to draft a receiver in the next couple years. That's my opinion at least...we should wait to really see what we have in Gettis/Pilares/Adams before we go and add yet ANOTHER young project in Gordon.

When is the last time we had a full complement of draft choices. Hurney has kept it in his pants so far this year and it's not time to whip it out now. Let's just stand pat and see what happens @TC.

He gave up next years 3rd for Alexander...???

Article on Gordon by Shefter

Link: http://espn.go.com/n...day-source-says

Former Baylor wide receiver Josh Gordon, who has declared for Thursday's supplemental draft, is scheduled to hold his pro day on Tuesday at the Houston Texans' training facility, according to a league source.

Multiple NFL teams are expected to attend, and the 6-foot-3, 225-pound Gordon is expected to be timed in the 40-yard dash in the 4.4s or better.

A source told ESPN.com's James Walker the Buffalo Bills will attend Gordon's workout.

One NFL scout said Gordon could go as high as the second round, and he is considered a rare talent as far as supplemental drafts go.

Gordon spent last season out of football after Baylor dismissed him from the team in August 2011. Gordon then transferred to Utah but had to leave the school for the supplemental draft for financial reasons.

The Akron Beacon-Journal reports the Browns are sending a representative to Baylor WR Josh Gordon's Tuesday Pro Day.

The Bills and Cowboys will also be in attendance. ESPN Cleveland's Tony Grossi said over the weekend he didn't expect the Browns to use a pick on Gordon in Thursday's Supplemental Draft, but they're at least doing their due diligence. Few teams have a bigger need at wideout than Cleveland.

Second round if he stays in school another year and performs.

Nobody's touching him in the 2nd round supplement picks though.

ESPN Dallas' Matt Mosley reports the Cowboys will have a representative at Baylor WR Josh Gordon's Tuesday Pro Day, and have "done their homework" on the Supplemental Draft prospect.

ESPN's Adam Schefter listed Dallas as one of seven possible Gordon destinations, while Profootballtalk reported Gordon drew a third-round grade from "at least" one NFC team. Schefter believes the speedy 6-foot-4, 225-pound wideout could go as early as round two.

Shefter listed the CAROLINA PANTHERS as a potential landing spot for Gordon

ESPN's Adam Schefter says Baylor WR Josh Gordon could go as high as the second round in Thursday's Supplemental Draft.

Schefter notes that Gordon is expected to run a 4.4 forty or better at his Tuesday Pro Day. He's going to intrigue a lot of teams with that speed at 6'4/225. Schefter lists the Browns, Dolphins, Panthers, Colts, Eagles, Cowboys and Redskins as possible landing spots.

This guys measurables looks great. I'd have to admit that I've never followed him but I like what I've read as far as his height, speed and what not. I don't see us drafting him because of his history. I don't think that he will be available in the 6th or 7th. But if he was, I think that I would draft him in one of those rounds.
