Why would we need to spend a draft pick on another receiver???? Particularly one with issues????

Seriously???? What is the likelihood that he would even make the team.

From a talent standpoint....he would easily earn a roster spot if his head is on right.

The greatest panther of all time has issues.

Passing league and our talent is still heavily slanted towards the backfield. That should change soon. We need more reciever talent. We might not technically need it today but the bodies need to be coming on board

rolls eyes, CRA, you cant lump and generalize scenerios like that. Getting busted smoking and being a habitual "line stepper" say different things about this guy. Im not gonna make it a disccusion, you have your opinion, just sayin that there is more to psyche than just "that was wrong, he is a troublemaker".

That being said, this dude does fit the offense. I think any receiver who can stretch the field vertically is a potential candidate. I dont like him though, he seems like he feels very entitled. Like people owe him something. One of the best nicknames you can have though.

nothing earlier than the 6th...7th would be ideal tho.

if he can provide solid competition, why not? anyone he beats out for a roster spot and PT deserves to be beaten out.

the more we throw on the field to try out, the more likely we are to find a stud WR corps, or at least a respectable and reliable one and with cam spreading the ball around the way he does combined with his always present running threat we should be able to have defenders spread out quite thinly.

sure, we should probably at some point try to draft a WR early again, but until then this may be a good option.

still think we should be concentrating on upgrading the defense first, but if we can upgrade any part of the team cheaply we absolutely should.(figured i'd add in this little qualifier...as long as he isn't north of 30 and/or a complete putz)

Well, you are picking and choosing as well. Smitty, the current GOAT, has been a habitual line stepper as well. He might not step the line with substances but his issues are arguably bigger issues for a team to deal with.

I don't have issue w/ having a couple high maintenance guys. All about having the leadership surrounding them to deal with it.

But you can't get this kid w/ a 6th or 7th...

He has more potential than arguable anyone on our roster coming out of college IMO.

I don't care who we get....we just need to be looking at adding WR talent. Soon. Soon we are going to have worry about every WR spot. Smitty is still strong but that can change quick as he ages....overnight or even over the course of a season. We are still worried about finding a true 2 and slot WR when we should have that handled and be worried about grooming a new #1

    • Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 🎯🎯🎯 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... 👀 Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.
    • I’m taking a TE early day 3 Ian Thomas and Tremble are FA.  We should have no desire to bring them back.   There’s more than enough film of ball bouncing off their hands or facemask.
    • Daniel Jones sometimes would sling it for 300 or 400 yards.  That's my stance.  We know what Bryce is.  If you consistently play any QB at this level, they largely are going to end up w/ some good days/games.  last time Mahomes was at BOA, Teddy Bridgwater threw for 300+ yards and a couple TDs and the Matt Rhule Panthers almost took him down.  We know what Bryce is.  Now we got people predictably falling into a predictable trap.
