SN by Joe Person....Panthers 3rd in NFCS

Actually its too early to put the Panthers over Atlanta at this point in time because they have proven to be the better team in recent years.

Quite frankly there is no sense putting any team over any other at this point. Every team right now is 0-0 and on an equal playing field and granted with a new and fresh beginning. This is a "what can you do for me now?" league. As soon as training camp starts league wide, no one cares about what happened last year except for the defending champs New York Giants and rightfully so. Even then, however, the players themselves are only looking ahead.

Having the better team in recent years does not mean a thing and no one remembers second place, playoff appearances, regular season records or divisional rankings. The only thing that matters to these players, coaches, and front offices is hoisting that Lombardi come seasons' end. Anything less is a failure. It disgusts me when fans argue about their records and recent successes when at the end of the day they have nothing more to show for it than a team that goes 0-16 if they do not win it all. Maybe some are content with making the playoffs year in and out only to go 0-3 in the first round, but players and true fans want nothing less than a championship because when next season rolls around, the cards are re-shuffled and everyone is on an equal playing field with an equal opportunity to make history.

We will be much improved as well. All three division rivals have new personnel at critical coaching positions and New Orleans doesn't have Payton who controlled the offense. Coaches make a huge difference and you will see that this year. Hard to believe but we have the most stabillity in the division and it will show.

And NO has a new defensive coordinator. I think their D will be in disarray this year, decent weeks, bad weeks. Nothing to write home about.

Atlanta will choke. It's in the cards.

Tampa, as everyone has said, is ??

I'm not worried about our D as long as Beason stays healthy. And we find a good 2nd CB. It's the ST I worry about. For years and years, going way back, we have signed free agents & rookies whose "specialty" was ST and we've been terrible anyway. We'll see if our new ST assistant makes a difference.

At worst, we'll be 2nd in the NFCS but not behind Atlanta.

This division is bonkers and its hard to tell what to expect.

Tampa has an all new staff of mostly college coaches, and a majority of those are from rutgers.

Atlanta has new OC and DC

NO is all fugged up

And we have a bunch of starters coming off injury, big question marks in the secondary, and a suspect interior dline. So there's really no telling whats going to happen in the NFCS.

But we do have Cam....

I agree.

I cannot put ATL ahead of the Panthers though as I seem them with multiple ? Marks as well.

I could see ATL, NO, and Car all grouped more closely than last year with NO with the slight advantage (brees)

Yeah but we're talking about the Panthers here. 3rd is about right. I don't see them beating out Atlanta or New Orleans and Tampa is much improved.

Hey look everyone! The unemployed uneducated bandwagon fan isn't working today and has nothing better to do then troll a panthers board.

I can see it all coming down to the last week of the season to decide it all. Similar to the NFC East last season, with the 3 teams at 8 or 9 wins going into week 17.

Lol! Skins will be in the cellar again this year.

Dead fuging last as usual
