hate the heat. love how easy lebron has it. Could never win the ring by himself

Name a player who has won a ring by himself. If you find yourself clicking the reply button to type Michael Jordan or Kobe bryant, don't bother responding.

The difference is when the going got tough for them, they stuck it out with their respective teams until talent was acquired around them. LeBron fled the scene.

LeBron isnt fleeing Miami, they are acquiring talent around him. He's not even the first Superstar/HOFer to switch teams anyway. One month ago it was LeBron will never win a title, he lacks what Mike and Kobe have blah blah. Now he has some sort of unfair advantage. LOL. Not 1, not 2....

I'm not sure exactly how it would work, but just fix it so the league parity becomes like that of the NFL, where the talent is, for the most part, evenly spread out and markets like Green Bay can keep their star players. A hard cap would be a start. An increase in the luxury tax is just a bandage on a gash.

A hard cap would solve nothing- Lebron, Wade, and Bosh all fit under the salary cap when they signed there, and most teams (including small markets) spend more than the salary cap every year. Plus, it would magnify the problem by not allowing small markets to offer more money to re-sign their own players. Like I said, a hard cap would absolutely ruin teams like the OKC Thunder because they would have no way to re-sign guys like Harden and Ibaka.

Perhaps you could make an argument for a franchise tag deal, but in practice that would probably end up just dragging the insufferable Dwight Howard situation out even longer. And even the NFL's franchise tag doesnt solve the problem of star players leaving for bigger markets (Julius Peppers comes to mind).

Fact is, the NFL doesnt really offer solutions because there aren't 22 starting positions to fill in the NBA. Hell, the NBA's last CBA was specifically designed to solve this problem, by making bird rights a more significant advantage (so players can make more money by re-signing rather than leaving via free agency) and the harsher luxury tax (which has yet to kick in and which IMO will be more effective than people think)

just curious but how many do you see Lebron winning. Honestly I am going to say 3. This isn't a shot against LeBron, but I think Wade's career is crashing rapidly.

Lol are you fuging serious? Kobe Bryant refused to sign with the hornets so that he could play in LA in the first place was about half a second from signing with the clippers a few years ago. Lebron stuck with cleveland for 7 years! And nobody gives two shits about shaq or KG, and now steve nash moving cities to chase a title. It's just yet another case of moving goal posts.

    • Respectfully, I completely disagree. Last year we were:  32nd in Sacks. 32nd in Turnovers.  32nd in Rushing TDs allowed  29th in Scoring.  We were absolutely atrocious on defense last year and that was with a full stable of weapons in Derek Brown, Frankie Luvu and Brian Burns that played all 17 games.  Using yards per game as a metric to guage our success lacks the context that because our offense was so inept teams were not driving the length of the field, they were starting at their 40-50 yard line.  This year, our Defense ranks:  31st in Sacks. Tied for 19th in Turnovers  31st in Rushing TDs allowed 32nd in Scoring  His defense fails to get pressure, fails to turn the ball over and fails to stop the run. Three things you absolutely have to do to be successful in the NFL.  Denver meanwhile has not missed a beat without him.  If another team wants to hire him as a HC and the Panthers get two 3rds for it I'll wish him the best and pack his bags myself.
