I've always liked Harper. like his game and attitude. He's a throwback player who i would love to have on my team. I looked at the Panthers weaknesses and i feel the defensivebacks are the biggest weakness on the team. I also like Greer but since i used my pick on harper i couldn't very well choose him so i looked elsewhere. It was a toss up between Tilib and Grimes. Tilib is bigger and more physical so i when his way. That left the Falcons so i went with the heady pass rusher the Panthers so desperately need.

Harper had 95 total tackles last season and 7.5 sacks. yeeeeah he really sucks. lol thats almost twice as many sacks as Greg Hardy who finished 2nd in total sacks for the Panthers. Harper is wildly overrated. He blitzed 291 times in three seasons, and yet was a distant 7th in pressure per snap, and his pass coverage skills are less than average. Talib is just plain stupid, and his inability to play within a scheme is a big part of why the Bucs were looking hard to trade him for as little as a fourth-rounder during the offseason before his charges were miraculously dropped. Abraham is the only pass-rushing threat the Falcons had, and most of his sacks last year came in bunches against mediocre teams like the Jags. Not to mention that he and Harper are abysmally old.

A small amount of age mixed in with the over all youth on defense could work wonders. Guys like Abraham would have the respect of the locker room and a mentor to the younger passrushers. Harper would bring aggressiveness this defense is surely lacking. + the lure of a Superbowl Champion. Talib is kind of a bone head but he has the talent to be great. Maybe a change would do him good. its happened before.
