CBS: Ten players likely to take a step back

Folk are expecting RG3 to be RG3, a one of a kind talent the likes of which has never been seen in the NFL before. Oh and how in the hell will Dalton "take a step back"? Isn't he a "game manager"? All he really has to do is play the system and not do something stupid right? Panther fans are all wet over what they hope Cam will accomphish. I think you guys are in for a let down. Seriously, nobody was psyched about playing the Panthers last season, no one. They were just one of those run of the mill teams that everyone overlooked. Thats no going to happen this season. teams will actually gameplan and will have the right mindset this year. Not saying Cam will bomb, he has loads of talent but i see a bumpy road waiting ahead. Anyways we'll see. I'm not always right, just most of the time.

Yeah, that's just stupid. Cam opening with back to back 400+ yard games and nearly knocking off the defending champs put him on the map early.

There's very little RG3 can do that Cam hasn't already done and I will guarantee you that he won't top Cam's rookie season or any of his records. I love RG3 and I hope he's good, but if he even comes close to the player Cam already is then he'll accomplish something. RG3 will also have the luxury of an actual off season to learn his offense and teammates and STILL won't measure up to a transcendent level like Cam.

If our D plays poorly Cam will have plenty of chances to throw for 300.

I get the feeling the D will be a lot better this year.

Worth remembering that Rivera was the coach who shut down Peyton Manning better than anyone else.

dalton will regress because he's exactly that: a game manager that will have more of the game put on him in year two. teams will gameplan to stuff the run and take away green and put the game on dalton's arm (if you can even call it that). baltimore and pittsburgh are kind of known for having good defenses so good luck trying to pound the football. it's also interesting that your logic for cam (the entire league will be gunning for him this time because they certainly weren't last year lol amirite) does not extend to dalton.

cincy got beat like a drum by the quality teams on their schedule and in my book expecting them to take that next step as a serious super bowl contender is just as inane as expecting the panthers to if you're going to criticize the latter by saying "they didn't beat anybody" as i've seen you do.

on another note, do you think teams weren't gameplanning for newton by like week two? i mean you saw the midseason adjustments the panthers made as teams started to load up against the pass, right? newton's average pass attempts/game were down by like 15 by the last six games of the year compared to early on. the Saints**** had a documented bounty on him for chrissakes.

as for RG3 who knows. i'm standing pat with my prediction that he'll have a good season but if he puts up 4700 total yards and 35 total TDs my jaw will be on the floor.

In Shanny's system if RG3 is forced to throw that many times it will mean the Skins are behind or in a shootout. I actually don't want to see those types of numbers from him. I put more emphasis on wins and TD to INT ratio.

yes derp derp derp wins grits we all know.

washington will probably win 8 games because they have a pretty good defense in place. that'll be the extent of it and i'd consider 1-1 TDs/INTs a win for griffin.

There is a slim chance the skins win more games than us this year. I just don't see it happening. But if you want an unproven rookie QB to lead you to the promised land. You may find that a little out of reach. Even with the highly thought of* Shanny as the coach.

If I were a skins fan, and after what Cam did last year, I'd be all hyped up for this Griffin character too. Every QB with any running ability at all is going to be compared to Cam. Let them compare. Let them hope. Suckers!

The reality however is, there is only one Cam. And I personally feel blessed to be front and center for the whole experience. For the first time in my life I don't envy another teams QB. Even the much ballyhooyed RGthethird.

* = LOL

Yes grits pre draft predictions about newtons future a year ago sure came true, so he must be right about rg3 too.

Oh wait....they didn't.

So a guy who has already proven what he can do in college (bcs) and the NFL, quite loudly mind you, will just out of nowhere suck year 2? Yet a player in griffin who took the powerhouse known as the big12 (lol) by storm and has yet to play a single down as an NFL quarterback will come in and automatically bring the redskins a winning season?

Good thing you never had any credibility here to begin with.

Lmfao this is just hater talk

I said Cam would be lucky to win 5 games So yeah i was wrong, He won 6. Also no one picked the Kind of numbers Cam would put up, NO ONE. So calling me out on Cam just points back at yourselves. Never mind how i picked greatness for Andy Dalton lol lets completely ignore that.

Oh and show where i said Cam would suck this season. Show me please, let us all see. I get more cred then the next guy its just the envy and hate clouds weak minds.
