Questions about Sprint

Does anyone have it? What is the signal strength like? Especially in the Motganton to Asheville area.

I have always been a Verizon customer. Just found out that my data plan is going way up. Sprint has a better price for unlimited data. Would get an android based phone.

Years ago when I got my first cell phone I was told that sprint had better phones but that Verizon had better coverage in my area. (Morganton). Was hoping Sprint had caught up.

When I lived in NC, and made deliveries in Icard/morganton and Asheville. I had Sprint. I always had a signal.

The only thing that I can tell you about sprint is that their service is great but their customer service is horrible. If they make a mistake on your bill or something of that nature. They are very sluggish to correct the matter.

I was there last year in February. So their signal strength is great.

Wife and I just switched away from Sprint. I hated them, passionately. I work a half mile from downtown and I had NO signal in my office, ever. Data was way sketchy too, like 0.25mbps on a good day. Also I had 4 dead spots on my way home so calling anyone wasn't possible. Wife liked them because she had been with them for 10 years and was treated well (gold customer), but they did away with that program and she finally agreed to switch.

I always said what good was unlimited data if it came at 0.25mbps

Sprint right now is upgrading their towers and people are dropping calls all over so i wouldnt suggest switching to them until the upgrade is finished

i work in the middle of uptown charlotte. in areas inside buildings where i have no signal with tmobile, my co-workers with sprint are watching netflix

I'm definitely thinking about switching to sprint.

for anyone interested, don't forget about this, which will save you a little dinero

This is true.

I have had Sprint for about 12 years. I have lived in NC, SC, FL, and GA and had great service. Customer service is just like any other phone company, you just have to know how to work them to get what you want. People like verizon BC they have cool marketing, their service coverage is slightly better, but not worth how much they charge IMO. I pay $130 a month for 2 smart phones with 4g, unlimited talk, text, and data.

been with them since 97. ZERO issues. ever since I dropped the "im a shareholder of sprint stock" they have treated me like Ric Flair.

coverage sucks near Wilmington but i shouldn't be on the phone there anyways.

the longer im with them the more deals/perks they throw my way.

yeah, that's why i wish i would have stayed with at&t back in the day. around 1999 or 2000, i had a sweet deal for the time. then i randomly started getting bills for like $1800, $1100, etc.

i don't think i've talked that much on the phone in my life. the first few times it happened, it got worked out - albeit slowly. but it kept happening and not getting resolved. i had to ditch them. they didn't want to work with me to resolve the issue after i'd cancelled. in the end, my credit report showed i owed them like $2600 after a few ridiculous bills and early termination fee.

i wonder what kinds of longevity deals i'd have by now if they had competent employees

Yes this is the same with me....if I had a service issue, the key is to call customer support, blow the issue WAY out of proportion, and threaten to end your 10+ year relationship with them, etc... I have gotten free/reduced phones and better, more custom plans this way. Did I mention I get 25% off my plan through my company? I have taken the phone into the stores before and almost every time the employees tell me that I have one of the best custom plans they have ever seen.
