Antawn Jamison to visit

Fwiw I'd be happy with jamison at a low price, but at some point the opportunity cost has to come into play, bothg in terms of cap space and playing time. I'm not a huge hickson fan, but I'd generally rather have him if priced similarly. Then sign mahimi or whatever his name is from dallas. Ideally we get a guy like ersan or hawes, but realistically we are 1-2 years away from it making sense to sign those type guys. No matter who we sign we aren't winning a playoff round, so let the youngins play.

I agree I'd still like to sign a 5 to give Bismack some help down low and let him develop as a 5. Then maybe get a 5 in next years draft. So if we can't get Hawes I'd still like to get Mahimi or Kamen.

Jamison is probably more valuable to the Bobcats than he would be to any other team in the league. Honestly, if the Cats are truly interested I'd be shocked if he didn't suit up for us next season.

If you're a Bobcats fan, and you are seriously looking for corner stone talent to be acquired this off-season, you'll just have to settle for Kidd-Gilchrist for now.

Jamison could probably be a 15 ppg guy making the vet minimum for us. Its more about what he does for the team behind the scenes.

We have the young pieces in place and I'd be surprised if they didn't get loads of playing time early and often. Jamison just has to come in and establish a 'role' on the team. And at the vet minimum in a season where you will have to spend money is at least an option worth exploring. Especially considering the mans ties to the area.

Not two years, just one lol. I could see Jamison signing a one year deal with L.A. winning a Championship and then playing for the Bobcats one year just to say he played for his team and to be the veteran presence on the team for a year.

Definitely could see this to, and he would be a great addition to the bench for L.A.

    • According to the talking heads of the sports world, this is a pretty meh QB class.  Sanders and Ward are the only two with first round buzz, but the rest are blah.  Take that for what you will. Let's see how Bryce does in year three.  That's just where we are.  Patience is the key here.  Players need time to develop.  They can't develop if they don't play.  Bryce has made some really good throws, but he doesn't look like CJ Stroud.  That's going to be his point of comparison the rest of their careers.  The ball doesn't explode off Bryce's hand, it's not a cannon ball shot out of a cannon.  He's not going to break a 70 yard run.   Bryce is going to have to continue to make good throws and make plays.  Part of that is going to depend on the play calls.  Part of it is based on the skill players.  A couple drops picked up yesterday and it's a win and Bryce throws 1-2 more TDs.  A completely different story. It's been a crazy year indeed.  I just want to see Bryce continue to develop.  To see XL become more consistent.  To see JT fully recover (not play this season if he's not healthy).  I want to see Coker continue to make plays.  I'd love to see Brooks get more touches and Chubba continue to hammer defenses. Then this approaching offseason, let's go back to the D and work on fixing it.
    • Prime is already gone boss.  Nothing left for team Sanders in college football.
    • Justin Fields’ fifth-year option was declined by the Steelers in April. Without a new contract, he will be a free agent in March. I am pulling for Bryce Young to look good the rest of the season, but if he doesn't, how many of you would be on board for the Panthers to try signing Justin Fields?
