Isnt it funny how those who dont predict a winning record are being called a "troll" or a "hater"? :rolleyes:If you're going to whine when someone gives you an answer then dont ask people to give a prediction.

Yea, get your ass to the smack forum if your going to act like one :)...

You could substitute a win in the first 3 weeks for a extra loss in the last 3 by chance.. so thats still 8-8

Damn. I thought you were banned. :boxing_smiley:

you're going to get labeled a troll just for your name.

your lack of confidence in the panthers only backs that feeling up.

What does my user name have to do with how the panthers will do next season?

Troll - "An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community"

Funny, it doesnt say anything about a lack of confidence in your favorite football team.

Now I wasn't name calling earlier but I'm going to for you

Asshole, I wouldn't say Troll as much as I would say Flame bait, you know what your doing, especially considering what your name is you would have to know. I suggest you be banned to the Smack forum, because after all it is what you want to do.

I don't know what your intentions are here and I don't give a poo one way or the other. I am not as sensitive as some of the security-challenged emotionals you will see here are. But the statement I quoted seems to be the unwritten rule around here for the most part. I know its sad but its true.

Gman was right: the name screams proud panther fan

pride in the panthers and fan of the panthers is evident in everything he does.

Yeah and names like Rayzor, Doc Holiday ,The Answer, etc all screams proud panther fan too. :P

Being a prideful panther fan and being concerned panther fan are two different things. But like you said, if you dont predict 16-0 every year then you're not a real fan right?

Yeah I already picked up on that.

My intentions are the same as everyone else's and thats to talk panther football. It doesnt mean Im going to always predict them to have a great season every year.

    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
    • Well, we got our answer on Army today.
