I feel like it's being generous...but at the same time I think the Vikings and Giants are going to be two of those teams who look tougher on paper now than they actually will be.

That Viqueens game was the one that took me the most time to ponder... I don't think the Viqueens will be out of the race by that time, and A LOT hinges upon their QB play this season, but I think they'll have a MONSTER run D complimented with a pretty good secondary along with a stellar run game, that they could pull off a win... I think it'll be a good game, regardless and would be most happy to see the Panthers knock them off

Week 1 Sun, Sept. 13 vs. Philadelphia Eagles 1 p.m. Win (getting beat up)

Week 2 Sun, Sept. 20 at Atlanta Falcons 1 p.m. Loss (we'll split with them)

Week 3 Mon, Sept. 28 at Dallas Cowboys 8:30 p.m. Win (we have to. this one could go either way, though.)

4 Bye

Week 5 Sun, Oct. 11 vs. Washington Redskins 1 p.m. Loss (after the bye. if we lose to the cowboys we'll win this one.)

Week 6 Sun, Oct. 18 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1 p.m. Win (they suck)

Week 7 Sun, Oct. 25 vs. Buffalo Bills 4:05 p.m. Win (it's the bills)

Week 8 Sun, Nov. 1 at Arizona Cardinals 4:15 p.m. Win (revenge)

Week 9 Sun, Nov. 8 at New Orleans Saints 4:05 p.m. Loss (we will split with them)

Week 10 Sun, Nov. 15 vs. Atlanta Falcons 1 p.m. Win (at home...we got it)

Week 11 Thu, Nov. 19 vs. Miami Dolphins 8:20 p.m. Win (stopping ronnie brown will be key. it's in charlotte so i feel good about it.)

Week 12 Sun, Nov. 29 at New York Jets 1 p.m. Win (defense will give us a run for the money but their offense will be easy to beat)

Week 13 Sun, Dec. 6 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1 p.m. Win (they suck)

Week 14 Sun, Dec. 13 at New England Patriots 1 p.m. Loss (i want to win this really badly but it will be the only AFCE team that beats us)

Week 15 Sun, Dec. 20 vs. Minnesota Vikings 8:20 p.m. Loss (just have a bad feeling about this one. it could very well go in our favor but for some reason i'm not incredibly confident.)

Week 16 Sun, Dec. 27 at New York Giants 1 p.m. Loss (we'll get them in the playoffs)

Week 17 Sun, Jan. 3 vs. New Orleans Saints 1 p.m. Win (home game. they will be ours)

overall 10-6

finish the regular season in a very ugly way but still go into the playoffs...just with a chip on their shoulders.

too funny. looking back seeing all of these 12-4 and 11-5 predictions...

we'll be lucky to make 5-11. i see 4 wins just not sure where the 5th will come. maybe last game against saints with all starters out after locking up division title and first week bye.

    • Strange, every news article and tweet I just searched all mentioned waivers. It is definitely his sixth year of at least 6 games. All I was trying to think of earlier was at the vet min could he beat out Bryce in camp next year lol. He's kinda got the old Darnold issue where he can obviously launch deep balls and qb run at a level Bryce will never achieve, but it sounds like he would be content being like a Josh Allen backup who doesn't throw the whole game plan out the window if he has to come in for a series or two. If we had him and for some reason still wanted to start Bryce he would kinda do what Justin Fields was doing the other night with Dangeruss, coming in for designed runs and maybe some play action/triple option rpo things to go deep. That would be so obvious and sad though. At least Russ can still sling it 40 yards in the air with a flick of the wrist
    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
